WeWork is currently seeking a full-time Partnerships Manager for Creator Awards based in New York. The Creator Awards is a new global initiative from WeWork that debuted in 2017. At WeWork, we believe that everyone should be able to do what they love. The Creator Awards recognizes and rewards entrepreneurs all around the world through a series of powerful live events that celebrates ideas, innovation and impact through multiple experiences. The Creator Awards is operated by the Public Affairs team at WeWork.
This full-time position will report to Head of Programming and Strategy for the Creator Awards and will offer the right candidate a unique opportunity to join one of the world's foremost late-stage growth companies and help build our brand and a signature piece of global programming. This person will manage and grow a portfolio of brand partnerships and sponsorships on behalf of the Creator Awards.
The ideal candidate has a background in event sponsorship sales, can bring fresh and creative thinking to the table when working with new and existing partners, is skilled in growing strategic brand partnerships, works well in a fast-pace and dynamic environment and is proactive and solution oriented.
Responsibilities
• Identify new opportunities for partner participation and sponsorship on a global and city-specific level
• Account manage all CA brand partnership relationships from initial conversation to on-site activation and post event asset deployment
• Meet or exceed quarterly competitive sponsorship goals while leveraging the strength of the WW brand
• Develop creative and insightful pitch materials to reach new partners and sponsors
• Field and assess all incoming partnership opportunities
• Maintain excellent relationships with existing partners while identifying areas for growth
• Collaborate with key Creator Awards stakeholders (production, marketing, social, etc.) to ensure 360-degree alignment on sponsorship/partnership elements from pitch to execution
• Compile, manage and track partnership assets and ensure accurate and timely delivery
Successful candidates will have the following qualifications:
• Minimum 5 years experience in sales, account management, business development and/or partnerships
• Experience negotiating, closing, and managing complex deals with large partners
• Understanding of financial models to enable tailoring the right deals to different partners
• Be self-starter able to demonstrate creativity and strategic thinking in a fast-paced and dynamic environment
• Ability to create beautiful and on-brand pitch materials
• Willingness to take on new challenges, responsibilities, and assignments
• Experience in event sponsorship
• Excellent written/verbal communication, organization and presentation skills
• Ability to both work collaboratively across functions and independently
• Proven success and ability to execute both tactical and strategic initiatives
• Ability to travel
• BA/BS or equivalent in Business, or other related degree
