About the Role:
This role is fantastic for anyone wanting to help improve and think creatively about the process of sourcing at WeWork on a global scale. As the primary Sourcing individual at WeWork focused on PxWe, this leadership role will have a global impact on project delivery by leading, partnering with the PxWe team to deliver projects on time and under budget. This position will be client facing and will work in a global matrixed environment. It will require a commitment to understanding and learning about the past and present processes while proactively molding future processes thereby establishing a clear path for growth and expansion and cost savings.
Responsibilities:
• Provide overall leadership to the sourcing functions for all PxWe projects and lead team of sourcing individuals at WeWork on all categories of sourcing inclusive of but not limited to (MEP, IT, AV, FF&E, MRO, etc); as they relate to PxWe.
• Collaborate closely with senior leadership including for the PxWe team as well as all leadership at WeWork. communicate overall sourcing strategies and cost savings initiatives.
• As needed interface with Clients to provide insights into the sourcing and procurement process at WeWork and outline means and methods to achieve incremental value for the client.
• Work with business leaders to develop a comprehensive approach to sourcing and spend management. Assess external market trends and conditions to identify opportunities and risks in supply categories.
• Structure analysis of spend to enable informed decision‐making and drive discussions with key stakeholders. Ensure sourcing efforts leverage market intelligence, should‐cost modeling, TCO analysis, and e-Sourcing techniques & tools.
• Develop, negotiate, and manage contracts reflecting the results of sourcing initiatives including achievement of key terms.
• Manage market and supply risks with appropriate legal terms and conditions and educate end users about new contracts; track and ensure compliance
• Establish world‐class supplier development and relationship management practices.
• Implement procedures for reviewing supplier performance against contracted obligations/service levels and business expectations as they relate to PxWe.
• Ensure sourcing teams anticipate and minimize performance issues via creation, monitoring, and reporting of key performance indicators (KPIs). When performance issues emerge, identify root causes and drive to efficient resolution by working across both internal and external stakeholders.
• Strategize and document modified or new processes.
• Establish goals and metrics to track the success of implemented process solutions and continually evaluate and adjust as necessary.
• Communicate regularly with the Head of Supply Chain and the Supply Chain Group to provide progress updates and coordinate initiatives.
• Report to the Head of Supply Chain.
Qualifications:
• 4-year degree or equivalent preferred.
• 10 years of relevant work experience preferred.
• Experience leading globally dispersed teams and developing global and regional sourcing strategies across a broad range of products and services.
• Ability to prioritize tasks and work on both short term and long term solutions simultaneously.
• Must be very organized and exhibit excellent time management skills.
• Clear communicator and excellent presenter with oral, written, and graphic presentation skills.
• Ambitious outside-of-the-box thinker willing to reach beyond their comfort zone
• Reliable, focused, and detail oriented.
• Excellent decision-making skills and a highly resourceful problem solver.
• Self-directed with a high level of initiative and a "can do" attitude, but open to feedback and a strong desire to learn.
• Excellent people skills with an ability to build consensus.
• Proficient in documentation.
• Fluent in English.
