Position Overview:
The Director of Learning and Development for Media Solutions will lead a growing team to develop and drive MESO’s learning and organizational development plan for a rapidly expanding 300+ organization. The primary responsibility of this role is to create impact by designing and developing learning solutions that weave in our strategic goals and cultural values to deliver business performance. In many ways, we are starting at the ground floor and this role is vital to create, drive end execute our learning and development strategy. This is a highly visible position with the opportunity to fundamentally shape the future of MESO and will report directly into the head of Strategy & Transformation. MESO is a global organization, so you will need to be confident in seeing opportunities to scale to global teams cost-effectively.
Responsibilities:
• Create and implement a program to support organizational goals and values and to further the professional development and retention of our employees
• Develop learning content for key MESO initiatives
• Support change management for implementation of key initiatives
• Design and lead our learning and engagement platform (LMS)
• Enhance and maintain new employee orientation materials and MESO specific programming
• Advise and provide direction and expertise within MESO sub-organizations teams
• Partner with global team members to leverage opportunities and implement enterprise-wide activities
• Lead learning assessment and evaluation measures
• Build culture and community through learning opportunities
• Collaborate cross-functionally with senior leadership and key partners
Job Requirements:
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills with solid attention to detail
• Strong strategic and critical thinking skills; ability to see the “big picture” while also diving into details as necessary
• A subtle, relationship builder with a strong professional presence while demonstrating influence
• Proven ability to counsel executives regarding learning content and delivery
• Experience working cross-culturally and cross-functionally, and ability to adapt personal style to different environments
• Effective decision-making skills; and the ability to choose a course of action among various options involving uncertainty or risk

Experience/Education:
• Bachelor’s degree in related field
• Master’s in Learning and Development, Education, Organization Development or a closely related field preferred
• 10+ years of experience in leading a corporate learning function including complex projects and budget management
• Experience with implementation, development, and usage of learning management systems
• In-depth knowledge of adult learning theory and practice in design, development, delivery, and evaluation for online, live sessions, and blended learning solutions
• Strong facilitation and instructional design skills with proven experience in both areas
• Knowledge of and experience with various off and online communication tools that enhance user experience and learner engagement
• Experience with in an ecommerce environment, is a plus
