The Director Product Marketing will be an expert on positioning the portfolio of Marketing Cloud products through the lens of our industry customers in CPG, Financial Services, Health and Life Sciences and Retail. He/she will be responsible for developing messaging and leading a team of industry experts and working with Sales, Sales Enablement and Field Marketing to design and deliver materials to educate our Sales team and other customer-facing organizations on how to position Marketing Cloud products and their value proposition.
They will partner with other Industries teams at Salesforce to create customer demand across Marketing, Sales, Service and Beyond. He/she will be extremely hands-on in developing content for sales training and field enablement and in creating assets that help our sales team generate and close pipeline. The Director Product Marketing will be an Industries evangelist in Marketing Cloud and beyond who is comfortable presenting to small and large groups and generating excitement and share of mind within our Marketing Cloud and broader sales team. This role can be based in San Francisco, New York or Indianapolis.
Your Impact:
• Partner with the Industries sales teams teams to develop content, sales programs and enablement strategy for the named industries.
Lead a team of industry specialist focused on CPG, Financial Services, Health and Life Sciences and Retail markets.
• Create compelling content, messaging and visual presentations that helps our Sales team create and close pipeline
Create sales plays and campaigns that positions Marketing Cloud
• Present and deliver content to various audiences
• Work with other members of the product marketing team to ensure creation of content that is compelling and on message with product goals
• Manage product marketing assets used to educate and evangelize our products across Core and Marketing Cloud sales teams (e.g., Chatter page, SAVO, etc.)
• Track and measure impact of marketing efforts and identify opportunities to improve the quality and methods of what the product marketing team produces
Minimum Requirements:
• 7+ years of experience in Product or Corporate Marketing
Experience in Industry marketing and some depth in one or more of the named industries.
• Experience with, knowledge of and passion for digital marketing
Leadership skills that inspire a team of senior, high performing individual contributors.
• Exceptional communication, story-telling and presentation skills with the ability to tailor messaging to different audiences and different functions; ability to take complex and make it simple
• Proven track record in crafting compelling positioning
• High energy, charismatic, innovative, creative
• Strong relationship-building, problem-solving and strategy skills
• Dynamic confident personality with ability to successfully drive projects with minimal guidance and present to senior management
• Self-motivated and thrives in a fast-past environment
