Revenue Operations-Associate Manager

We are looking for a revenue recognition guru who is passionate about topics like “residual method” and “VSOE” but is wise enough to not sound too “geeky” when advising business partners. Ambition and a knack for challenging the status quo are expected. We are looking for someone who feels empowered to innovate, takes action, is customer driven and has a flair for process automation in Rev Rec world.
Responsibilities include:
• Manage and design systems, processes, and internal controls to ensure compliance with US GAAP (ASC 605 & 606).
• Partner with order management and sales operations and other cross-functional teams to improve quote-to-cash process accuracy and efficiency.
• Build scalable revenue accounting processes via automation and IT system enhancements.
• Collaborate with FP&A to analyze forecast versus actual revenue and deferred revenue.
Qualifications
• 5+ years of combined experience, with at least 2 years of work experience directly related to revenue recognition.
• Bachelor of Arts or Science/Engineering
• Knowledge of current US GAAP with respect to revenue recognition and ability/willingness to stay current on all related developing issues.
• Experience with Zuora RevPro, SFDC, Oracle or other sophisticated IT finance systems.
• Experience working for a high growth / fast paced company.
• Detail-oriented with superior analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Advanced Excel skills required and ability to work with and analyze and interpret large volumes of transactional data.
• Experience managing and fostering a high-performance team.
• Outstanding interpersonal, communication, and business partnering skills with demonstrated ability to work cross functionally and at various levels within a company.
• Excellent time management skills, ability to meet deadlines and operate with a sense of urgency, with self-starter orientation.
• Ability to work in a fast paced environment and be a change agent for implementing new ideas and process improvements in an increasingly complex environment.
