Senior Manager/Director, Executive Programs
The Salesforce Executive Programs team is responsible for designing and delivering high impact experiences and events that focus on Salesforce’s transformational solutions for our most senior-level customers. We do this by driving cross-customer engagement, bringing executives together to collaborate on their most pressing issues in a peer-to-peer environment.
The Senior Manager/Director for Executive Programs requires a smart and proactive professional to lead a team of field marketers in support of the Commercial Business Unit. This person will work closely with our senior sales leaders to drive sales success by owning and leading the team’s vision and strategy to support growth of the business. This position is responsible for creating visibility into programs across the organization by representing the Executive Programs organization in leadership meetings and presenting the strategy and updates to executives.
This ideal candidate has field marketing experience working with sales, superb relationship-building skills and the ability to balance “day-to-day” activities with special requests from senior leaders. The ideal candidate must relish operating in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial and competitive environment with a focus on sales.
Responsibilities:
• In support of the Commercial Business, you will lead a team of field marketers
• Work closely with sales leadership to obtain feedback and continually refine executive strategy
• Represent your team in executive meetings by presenting on the business and how your team is impacting business results
• Set goals and direct the team on development of their quarterly market strategy to help build sales pipeline and closing of business.
• Manage the budget to align team in market strategy/ event planning/ logistics for 20-40 events per quarter in support of the business.
• Evaluate, measure and report on strategic effectiveness and ROI for program efforts and share those results in sales and marketing leadership meetings.
• Advise on content agenda and format to drive consistency and quality across Executive Program events
• Identify and secure internal subject matter experts to speak at Executive Program events
Basic Requirements:
• 5+ years of high-tech sales or marketing experience, preferably in a field facing role.
• Previous experience working in hi-tech, fast paced environments
• Bachelor level degree preferably with a Marketing, Communications or Business emphasis.
• 2+ years management and event planning experience of in-person marketing events is preferred.
• Proficient in ability to work across the organization and a strong understanding of sales distribution teams
• Ability to manage a remote team that has multiple, simultaneous marketing programs that require both strategic thinking as well as high-speed tactical execution
• Proven ability to engage C-level executives in relevant conversations about digital technology.
• Strong project management skills and an ability to lead a team in developing and delivering programs within a very high velocity, shifting environment.
• Strong presentation skills, with the ability to address both executive and technical level audiences.
• Strength in multi-tasking, organization, time management and attention to detail.
• Strong knowledge of salesforce.com CRM, or other CRM application.
• A sense of humor, tenacity and grace under pressure
• Travel required.

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, must have the ability to communicate with team members at varying levels, conceptually and tactically.
• Ability to work independently against tight deadlines in a fast-paced, changing environment keeping a sharp eye on detail and accuracy.
• Must be a self-starter, highly motivated, able to “turn on a dime”, think through problems to come up with innovative solutions.
• Experience successfully interfacing with external vendors and external marketing agencies
