Role Description:
In this role you will report to the VP, Business Operations/Chief of Staff Infrastructure Engineering and transform how we do end-to-end planning and budget management for our rapidly growing Infrastructure Engineering Ohana of 2,000+ with a budget in excess of $2B. You'll be part of centralized business operations team focused on defining and delivering scalable processes and tools to help Infrastructure plan, execute, measure, and communicate while making the right, data-driven investment decisions along the way.
This position requires a passion for process excellence, problem solving, and an ability to partner and influence across all levels of the organization.
The candidate must be a proven leader, detail oriented, good communication skills, enthusiastic, and comfortable with working with ambiguity. S/he must be a proven professional with relevant experience managing cross-functional portfolios and budgets. The strong candidate will have 10 years of working experience in a fast-paced company with exceptional growth.
This person will will drive planning processes across our Cloud teams and product partners ensuring we have the right transparency, checkpoints, and metrics to ensure we meet our commitments, are within budget, and have clear process for making strategic tradeoffs.
Your Impact:
• Establish, manage, and drive the end-to-end planning process and framework for long range, fiscal year, and release planning cycles.
• Orchestrate meetings and checkpoints for all planning activities across multiple teams and a diverse set of stakeholders, including executive level meetings.
• Establish the process and principles for budget management in partnership with Finance. Identify ways to best capture and prioritize planned and unplanned requests.
• Identify ways to capture and communicate our highlights (#InfraEngWins) and lowlights
• Create content (Slide Decks, gSheets, and Quip) to support the planning and budget cycle, including executive quarterly reporting. Identify ways to elevate our tooling using Salesforce first.
• Develop and drive the planning communication plan
• Be a thought leader within the organization, help advance our Infrastructure strategy globally and challenge others in the organization to change. Identify areas of duplication and optimization.
• Contribute to the evolution and adoption of our Agile Development methodology in partnership with the Agile team
• Inspire and encourage teams to do the best work of their career
Basic Requirements:
• 10 years of Enterprise Software program, product or engineering management experience on progressively more complex and simultaneous programs.
• Experience managing complex and large-scale budgets.
• Basic understanding of the SaaS business model and its product development lifecycle.
• Understanding of web technology, infrastructure processes and product lifecycle; ability to adjust and apply this knowledge in a dynamic environment.
• Ability to establish credibility and rapport with senior executives and technical and non-technical team members.
• Customer-obsessed mindset; successful track record in building strategies and solutions to meet Customer needs.
• Outstanding organizational, communication, interpersonal, relationship building skills conducive to collaboration; able to work well in a cross-functional, matrix management environment.
• Energetic self-starter passionate about professional integrity and excellence with a positive attitude and enthusiasm.
• Ability to thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced, environment where you must take on multiple responsibilities and do what it takes to get things done.
Preferred Requirements:
• Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Economics, MIS, Business, Computer Science/Engineering, or MBA preferred.
• Experience using or managing Salesforce products
• Consulting experience
