REQUIREMENTS:
• Bachelor's Degree
• Minimum of 7 years of proven inside sales leadership experience
• Experience managing a sales team though a high-volume holiday season; ability to manage a larger team during these peak periods with additional seasonal associates
• Experience using Salesforce.com, or similar CRM system
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills; strong interpersonal skills
• Proven experience in managing multiple, corporate accounts
• Excellent organizational skills and an aptitude for detail
Description
The Director of Sales directs and develops a team of Sales Leadership & Account Managers to positively impact productivity, quality and retention. The individual in this role is also responsible for spending about 50% of their time prospecting new customers and cultivating their existing book of business.
This position will be responsible for leading & motivating an innovative Business to Business Sales team and strategize to drive maximum profitability and growth in line with the company's vision and values. Establishes priorities to expand the customer base in the marketing area and contributes to the development of training and educational programs for the department Managers and Account Managers.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Direct all activities in Business to Business Sales Department, answer associates' questions, and handle escalated calls
• Develop budget and strategies to achieve
• Monitors inbound calls, queue activity, and e-mail transactions, and provides feedback with team members daily
• Keep associates informed of all changes and new information
• Collect and interpret data to analyze performance of team, develop and communicate team and individual sales goals
• Handles and champions employee concerns to foster positive employee morale
• Partners with marketing and merchandising to identify marketing support/ opportunities and product needs/forecast
• Manage portfolio of "own" business to business accounts. Lead by example through achievement of own personal sales goals.
• Responsible for the performance and development of direct reports
• Conducts sales activities that lead to new business
• Provide competitive analysis to develop plans to penetrate new markets
• Other responsibilities include maintenance of accurate records, development of presentations, and controlling of expenses.
