The Director of Logistics will lead the Transportation team, consisting of Operations, Analytics, Reporting, and Development. This role will require managing the fast past changes in the supply chain with multiple competing priorities.
Job Responsibilities
• Position entails cross-functional work with the warehouse, buyers, partner care, customer care, product care, and third party vendors.
• Identify and mitigate risks and support prompt resolution of issues.
• Manage and negotiate contracts.
• Manage Customs Trade Compliance
• Manage Customs Trade Partnership Against Terrorism (CTPAT)
• Manage vendor relationships.
• Responsible for tactical and strategic planning.
• Plan and Direct all aspects of Overstock.com's international and domestic inbound, outbound and parcel transportation programs.
• Responsible to provide direction for and participate in all projects related to transportation/logistics.
• Conduct risk assessments to identify compliance gaps and process inefficiencies. Identify processes to close gaps to facilitate implementation of improvements.
• Identify, and drive cost savings opportunities in the supply chain.
• Timely Adhoc analysis
• Perform other duties as required and assigned by manager and upper management.
• Follow legal policies as directed.
Job Requirements
• 15+ years experience in the logistics area
• Experience with all modes of transportation
• Expertise with Domestic Parcel and LTL Home Delivery
• Fluency in standard software including MS Office
• Experience with techniques and tools relevant to data mining and analysis
• Exceptional attention-to-detail with the ability to meet aggressive deadlines
• Strong quantitative, analytical, and problem solving skills
• Excellent communication and presentation skills
• Ability to shift priorities as to best help the company initiatives

Education
Bachelors degree in technology, business, international or related field; MBA Preferred
