The Expedia Lodging team is looking for a motivated and high-energy individual to handle the day-to-day business operations for the Lodging organization, facilitating operational alignment and work closely with leadership to understand opportunities, challenges of the organization and lead change.
As a business manager, you will be responsible for running the operational rhythm of the business for our organization along with the Chief of Staff, supporting lodging leadership. You’ll identify and handle resource spend to ensure alignment with financial forecast, resolve problems and work across teams to make the business run smoothly, drive operational alignment with key business partners while supporting one of the best technology teams at Expedia. You will help the organization to realize its objectives. This role works extensively with leaders from both business and technical backgrounds; so we are looking for someone who can clearly communicate ideas, concepts, surface issues, both verbally and in writing, someone who can drive process changes for the organization in partnership with our business partners. What You Will Do:
• You will facilitate any necessary communications, plan and approach, for the organization in alignment with the leadership team/s.
• Along with facilitate financial operations including headcount tracking and approvals, discretionary spend allocation/tracking, time tracking/compliance in partnership with Finance, Portfolio and management.
• Be a liaise between leadership, HR and Recruiting to support processes operationalization around talent management, recruiting process/progress and engagement.
• Facilitate preparation/support for staff meetings, events, off-sites and business meetings offering leadership an opportunity to check-in on progress to business goals, providing transparency into organization health and engagement.
• You will operationalize and provide training on business processes with a focus on continuous improvement, efficiency and operational excellence.
• You will drive organization to operationalize companywide requirements such as goal setting and training mandates.
• Provide general program management support for initiatives and special projects, such as product specific portfolio management.
