Job Description
AWS Infrastructure Supply Chain and Procurement (ISCaP) is seeking a Senior Supply Chain Manager to act as an individual contributor to focus on new region data center global expansion. This role will be highly impactful to the business, and is very customer (internal) focused driving and improving processes and procedure to create a more effective and efficient Supply Chain specifically for data center global expansion. Come work with smart people and make major contributions towards enhancing our infrastructure for millions of customers world-wide. This role will interact with several cross functional teams:
Responsibilities
• Ability to coordinate with multiple global and cross functional team to achieve goals.
• Understand the technical requirements of our partners and work closely with the internal and external teams to arrange and drive vendor enablement.
• Execute strategic business objectives while working with key internal stakeholders to improve the supply chain with the latest internal and external information.
• Prepare and give detailed data-driven business reviews to senior management, focused on improving regional deployments through innovative supply chain strategy.
• - Serve as a key member of the AWS Infrastructure supply chain team in helping to define and deliver complex supply chain strategies.
• Understand the technical requirements of our partners and work closely with the internal development teams to guide the direction of the supply chain activities.
• Ownership of new region expansions
• Work with external vendors, understanding forecast and demand planning requirements across multiple programs in multiple geographies
• Determine customer needs and drive solutions
• Keys to success in this role include exceptional program management skills, customer obsession and clear and concise communication skills. The candidate needs to be able to extract insights from data and be able to communicate clearly appropriate triggers and actions.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
• - Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Program Management, Engineering, Business or other related quantitative discipline
• - 5+ years of years of relevant work experience in supply chain, program management, planning, manufacturing, finance or related field
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
• A successful candidate will have background in operational tax and trade compliance.
• Experience creating, iterating, and improving end-to-end global component sourcing procurement and supply chain strategies
• Excellent creative thinking skills with emphasis on developing innovative solutions to solve complex problems that may not have one clear answer
• Advanced knowledge of global component supply chain
• 5 +years professional experience (in high technology or consumer electronics)
• MBA or advanced degree in engineering, operations research, logistics, mathematics or other quantitative disciplines
• Experience with supply chain modeling and other statistical analysis tools
• Advanced knowledge of data center products and their global supply chains
