Position Summary
We are looking for a creative, talented, and passionate product marketer to lead our brand team for Salesforce CPQ. This PMM will lead product positioning, product launches, website and marketing execution. Candidates will have a passion for taking the complex and making it simple, and for marketing through compelling stories. The PMM will define the brand for CPQ & Billing, ensure a consistent brand across all assets and deliver a major product launch leading up to Dreamforce 2018.
This PMM works across teams, products, and functions, from diving into the market to develop market subject matter expertise, to building buyer and market profiles, to building and sharing compelling product vision, to sitting in on customer calls with the sales team, and working to build the brand and champion the CPQ & Billing position and messaging across content, market-facing collateral, events and on the website.
RESPONSIBILITIES & IMPACT
• Partner closely with Product Management to understand the product strategy. Ideate, test and deliver compelling product positioning that differentiates the CPQ & Billing while supporting go-to-market strategies across use multiple cases.
• Create, manage and maintain key assets and presentations, including the product positioning document, first call deck, event keynotes.
• Create compelling videos to highlight customer success or demonstrate our product value proposition.
• Ensure our products and features are named to reflect the broader Salesforce brand and Salesforce CPQ & Billing brand.
• Work with creative teams and agencies to ensure our brand and message are maintained across customer-facing assets, advertising and social campaigns.
• Ensure messaging flows through appropriately through data sheets, pricing sheets, FAQs, etc.
• Support Analyst Relations presentations and maintain our press narrative. Partner with PR to drive an amazing launch cycle at our events that drives conversation forward.
• Develop product expertise, engage customers, evangelize key stories, and can deliver our differentiation to customers in the EBC (executive briefing center).
• Work across teams to develop innovative marketing strategies to gain VP and C-level mindshare.
• Ensure our messaging flows through all demo assets and content.

REQUIRED SKILLS / EXPERIENCE
• 8+ years experience in product marketing at a high tech company, or similar. MBA a plus, but not required.
• Proven management experience to lead a multifunctional team.
• Demonstrated ability in launching and growing innovative products, preferably with familiarity of the cloud/SaaS and CRM
• Dynamic, confident personality with ability to successfully define and drive project execution with minimal guidance amidst multiple priorities and goals.
• Experience with business processes such as revenue recognition, finance, sales, ops, marketing, customer support, collaboration.
• Proven track record of speaking in front of large internal, external, and global audiences.
• Creative thinker that can generate innovative marketing ideas and lead a cross-functional team of stakeholders to drive execution.
• Proven track record of crafting compelling positioning and thought leadership content.
• Experience working with direct distribution (sales) teams and channel partners.
• Hands-on ability to create a range of marketing assets, including viral on-message product demo videos and succinct slide pitch-decks.
• Proven track record of launching and growing hit products.
• Strong skills in communication, writing and ability to work well cross-functionally.
• Exceptional team player with proven ability to lead through influence.
• Proven track record in performing well in a fast-paced environment and organizational skills to manage multiple projects with tight deadlines effectively.
