Position Goals & Objectives
We’re looking for a passionate and talented Marketing Manager to manage day-to-day marketing efforts. The successful candidate will be a creative thought-partner to the regional management team and play a central role in translating the WeWork Labs brand at a global and local level to activate new and existing markets. The role will support our Head of Marketing in developing the marketing plan and translating this into local execution through a wide range of media, events, field activations, partnerships and guerilla marketing tactics. This person needs to be extremely hands-on and enjoy working in a fast-paced, global organization with key stakeholder relationships both internally and externally.
The right candidate has experience spanning online customer acquisition, brand building, PR, and B2B & trade marketing-focused events to drive business growth -- with excitement to tailor tactics by market as needed -- and support our Head of Marketing in implementing the systems and processes in coordination with the NY-based corporate marketing team to ensure programs are measurable and delivering on ROI expectations. The right candidate will have knowledge on defining sales personas, building assets and campaigns to influence these targets, and delivering creative programs that ultimately deliver new Labs members, drive retention, and help achieve aggressive sales, retention, and revenue targets.
Responsibilities
• Help develop and manage localized marketing plans in collaboration with the Brand, Sales and Community Teams and General Manager
• Manage the day-to-day responsibilities of marketing execution – from hands-on operational work to coordinating [with agencies or internal teams] for execution, holding them accountable for contractual deliverables and KPIs
• Scale your impact across the region by equipping the local Community and Sales teams to activate their buildings and surrounding communities to drive lead generation and retention
• Leverage existing global partnerships and develop local partnership opportunities, in collaboration with the Brand team
• Successfully localize our brand throughout while maintaining the core brand values and mission
• Approve all marketing content (brand, visual, messaging) as per brand guidelines prior to public distribution, seeking additional approval from the central Brand team when necessary
• Manage frequent stakeholder interactions with local Building Operations teams and Sales teams, as well as a wide range of other functions, including Performance Marketing, Public Affairs, Events, Brand and Social Media
• Support central teams with intermediate copywriting and content posting to maintain respective channels if and when appropriate
• Actively work on improving information sharing, training, goal setting and key marketing KPIs
• Communicate regular updates to the local and central teams about marketing objectives and progress
• Participate in the annual budgeting process in collaboration with Labs Head of Marketing, the Sales Team and the General Manager
• Support the execution of any global campaigns, as delegated from Head of Marketing
• Assist in content capture of events and experiences for Labs
• Act as a brand ambassador at events and with partners
Experience & Qualifications
• Deep knowledge of the startup “scene,” and developed connections with influencers in the startup ecosystem
• Familiarity with the local startup ecosystem: investors, journalists, enterprises, entrepreneurs, local accelerators, incubators, and start-up ecosystem at large
• Demonstrated passion for startups, and a desire to help them to succeed
• Actual hands-on experience with all different aspects of marketing: SEO, SEM, Brand, Multi-channel campaign optimization, activation events, guerilla marketing, other creative lead generation, copy - we are looking for an all-around marketer who can execute on all different aspects of marketing for a growing organization.
• Proven experience with business scaling
• 3-6 years of experience in growth-focused marketing - in the enterprise, mid-market, and/or startup space
• Experience in operations, project management, event production, sales, and/or customer service from an experience-based environment is a plus
• Technical background is highly desirable
• Ability to execute both tactical and strategic initiatives
• Well versed in digital acquisition and growth marketing
• Highly creative and able to formulate a unique vision for our communities and members
• Flexible and can adapt accordingly to newly formed organizations
• Keen attention to detail along with strong organizational and project management skills
• Results driven with an ability to execute independently
• Excellent communication, writing and presentation skills
• Exceptional organization skills and multi-tasking skills
