About You:
You're a people management Director that manages a team and collaborates with our VP of Risk Management. You'll be responsible for credit risk analysis, credit policy and reporting. You will have experience working in the consumer/retail credit industry with a quantitative background and significant exposure to risk management. In this role you'll focus on developing data analysis to improve credit policy, partnership deals, controlling losses and minimizing credit loss, creating opportunities to increase personal loans financial performance, and enhancing returns for our Retail and Institutional investors.
Your Role:
Craft credit risk and pricing strategies for our Personal Loan product that include:
• Develop credit risk management strategies for lending segment
• Develop risk-based verification strategies for personal loan products
• Measure credit expansion opportunities in the personal loans lending market
• Build testing roadmaps and strategy
Evaluate new data sources for credit risk management:
• Expand existing set of data used in credit decisioning process by evaluating information value of non-traditional data sources and by re-engineering use of existing data elements
• Design a roadmap for testing new data elements and strategies
Perform data analysis and validation:
• Complete various ad-hoc analysis relating to credit risk management
• Validate and implement credit risk models
Build and update monthly performance reports, design performance measurements and create analytical data sets:
• Produce monthly credit risk dashboards and create new dashboards to track and monitor business metrics
• Monitor portfolio performance by vintage to generate insight
Monitor and incorporate competition and macroeconomic data in strategies and decision-making:
• Create strategies for identifying and mitigating significant macro-economic risks
• Track competitive activities and adjust strategies as needed
Coach and motivate a team of analysts and managers:
• Recruit, train and develop a high performing team
Requirements:
• 7+ years of experience in risk management analytics
• Bachelor’s degree or higher in a quantitative field
• Prior leadership or people management experience
• Experience validating and implementing models
• Extensive experience in SQL and one of SAS, R or other equivalent data mining tools
• Experience with BI/data visualization tools (like Tableau or Excel to create dashboards)
• Experience using CART, GML, Random Forest, LDA, or Convex Optimization techniques
• Good interpersonal skills that enable you to build support from peers and senior management
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with focus on written policies and procedures
• You're excited by FinTech and empowering those striving for financial success
Nice to have:
• Product analytics experience
• Experience with tools like Hadoop
