Job Description
Ancestry is currently seeking a Senior Director, Program Management, that will be responsible for end-to-end program management vision, strategy, execution and continuous improvement across Product and Technology. This leader will develop and lead a team of program managers to execute a portfolio of programs as well as drive needed process improvements.
This role will be based in San Francisco and will report to our VP of Business Operations.
What you will do:
• Partner with cross-functional leaders to understand their portfolio, business strategy and priorities to facilitate program management and execution across our organization
• Identify, define, develop and implement techniques to improve program management productivity, increase efficiency and mitigate risks
• Develop and execute the agile program management playbook for Ancestry
• Lead, Develop, Recruit Motivate and Retain a team of program managers, based in our offices in San Francisco, California and Lehi, Utah
Qualifications
• Experience building and leading a program management team, in an agile environment
• Proven ability to scale an organization, with experience at mid-sized companies
• Ability to lead and motivate high performing teams
• Demonstrated ability to work teams, roll up your sleeves and get work done, in a small team setting
• Experience in Agile setting, especially at scale, is a definite plus!
• B.S. in Computer Science or related field required, MBA preferred
• Minimum 15 year’s experience driving program management or business operations in a fast paced environment
• 5 year’s experience leading at Director level in a mid-large sized company
• 10 year’s experience collaborating across multiple functions in product development
