Director or Senior Director, Product Management (Salesforce DMP)
Salesforce DMP will enable the modern marketer to light up every cross-functional consumer touch point as a marketing touch point, fueled with first- and second-party data, ignited with artificial intelligence. The DMP will provide always-on tools to inform and instruct 1:1 relationships with consumers from acquisition to retention. The Salesforce DMP team is looking for an exceptional product leader to drive innovation and continued growth as a Salesforce business.
This critical hire will focus on creating a vision for solving some of the most difficult data and advertising problems Salesforce customers face, translating that vision into tangible product plans, and leading a team of direct reports and other stakeholders towards that vision. This role will require deep familiarity with ad content taxonomies and data models originating from different sources, including Ad Servers, DSPs, SSPs, etc.
Responsibilities:
• Maintains a deep understanding of marketing and advertising technology, and is constantly developing a cutting-edge view of the business and customer needs; The successful candidate must have a superior ability to guide and persuade the team, internal stakeholders, customers and other external stakeholders towards a shared perspective on the market.
• Manage the product roadmap. Make tactical prioritization decisions while helping the company think long-term. Build trust with stakeholders by maintaining an understandable, accurate roadmap.
• Leads team responsible for requirements gathering, developing user stories, prioritization backlog, writing user stories. Owns his or her own deliverables and also elevates the output of the DMP product management team at large.
• Proactively communicates with diverse internal and external stakeholders in a timely manner with respect to product requirements, planning, progress — at both a strategic and tactical level.
• Coordinates across product and functional lines to ensure product initiatives are aligned across the company and business functions (customer success, product marketing, sales) are empowered to succeed.
• Collaborates and builds strong relationships with customers, engineers, product support and a dynamic and diverse cross-functional stakeholder community.
Desired traits and experience:
• 5+ years experience within a DMP, DSP or a senior media/analytics role within a digital advertising agency
• A natural leader empowered through humility
• Has experience managing a team of product managers in a dynamic SaaS environment, able to work within a cross-functional team structure, yet is also comfortable executing independently
• Customer facing — while much of this role deals with internal stakeholders, the ability to create meaningful relationships with customers and to support key sales conversations is critical
• Passionate about agile and collaboration
• Ability to prioritize and help team members to prioritize
• Fun, reasonable, and knowledgeable about the product and market
• Excellent communications skills: written, verbal, group presentations at the team level
The following would be a plus:
• Certified Scrum Product Owner (CSPO)
• JIRA Agile experience
