About the position
We are seeking a strong leader to own a dynamic high-impact team that delivers growth and operational rigor to our Small Business Sales and Sales Development teams working closely with the executive team. This role is a hybrid of traditional jobs in strategic planning, marketing, product, sales operations, finance, and analytics – requiring a mix of skills including go-to-market design, deep analytical skills, lead-to-quote expertise, cross functional project management, strong executive presence and business operational excellence.
Sample work ranges from the strategic to the operational including owning our go-to-market model to deliver growth, executing on business changes to deliver NPS improvement, owning the creation & visibility of analytic stack, and building & evangelizing actionable recommendations.
You must be able to lead relationships with stakeholders across our Americas organization, partnering with leaders from Marketing, Product, IT, Operations, Finance, Employee Success and Post Sales. Your objective perspective is paramount in this role. You must have a solid business understanding, be detail oriented and have the ability to think strategically. You will need to translate high level questions and needs into operational guidelines, analysis and reporting that measures our ability to deliver company and customer success.
Responsibilities:
• Be a strong team leader and people manager, leading a team of 7+ managers, analysts. Need to inspire and invest in your team
• Partner closely with peers and cross-organization colleagues to lead initiatives, get buy in and ensure action and adoption
• Understand our technology stack and how to best leverage to get visibility into the right data in the most automated way
• Build an expansive internal network to bring all possible expertise and resources to bear on your projects. It is through these relationships, and the knowledge that they bring, that our sales strategy will be impactful
• Perform thorough analysis to support any recommendation you make, working with existing analytical resources and do the heavy lifting yourself when needed
• Sell your recommendations to executive management through exceptional presentation, tangible quantitative explanation, and mastery of qualitative factors that complement the numbers
Desired Skills / Experience
• 8+ years in Strategic Business Operations or equivalent function with significant exposure to Marketing, Product, Analytics and with significant experience leading a team posting measurable results
• Stellar hypothesis-based problem solving skills with an understanding of finance, statistics and predictive modeling. Must be results oriented and able to move forward without complete information
• Creativity and strategic thinking – and the agility necessary to master both the daily hands-on analysis and the big picture strategy
• Self-starter and high degree of motivation to go above and beyond the task at hand
• Exceptional cross-functional leadership skills
• Able to communicate clearly and effectively to senior executives with strong presentation skills. Diplomatic and discrete thought partner to business leaders
• Flexibility and ability to prioritize as business needs change
• Excellent project and time management skills
• Familiarity with marketing, sales enterprise software and the lead-to-quote process
• Familiarity with advanced modeling and analytical tools Python, R, SQL, Tableau, Business Objects, etc. a plus
