What Box needs:
We are looking to bring in a Boxer who will help us build, scale and evangelize Box's Internal Communications function globally. You'll report directly to the Global Head of Internal Communications.
In this position, you will work closely with every organization at Box, including directly with our executive C-Suite team, to amplify Box's culture, increase internal awareness of our business and amplify Boxer engagement. You'll deliver on internal communications campaigns and projects end-to-end as well as execute epic programs such as the quarterly global all hands, Ask Me Anything with our CEO, the weekly Friday Lunchand executive leadership meetings to inspire, engage and align Boxers around our values, vision, and priorities.
You are resourceful and flexible; an innovator at heart who isn't afraid to voice your perspective and think outside the box (pun intended!). Everything we communicate is a reflection of our brand, our story and who Box(ers) are. As such, you'll quickly capture the box voice: playful (but never a joke), candid, bright, unifyingand witty. Through a variety of channels, you'll tell Box's story in a human-centric way, amplifying our valuesand creating a dynamic conversation between Box and Boxers.
What you'll do:
• Write, edit, and review a wide variety of internal comms content to deliver our company narrative
• Project manage and coordinate the planning, logistics and execution of internal events and campaigns start to finish e.g. vendor relationships, swag, supplies
• Apply your design sense and creativity to communicate content - we don't expect expert level in all of these, but channels will include written comms, video production, visual/creative design, event production - we welcome and celebrate experience in any/all of these
• Cultivate strong relationships with global teammates, internal stakeholders, cross-functional partners and vendors to ensure tight alignment of messages and narratives
• Collaborate with IT to identify, leverage, and integrate technology that will increase the effectiveness and timeliness of employee communications
Who you are & what you've got:
• Experienced in Communications, Copywriting/blogging, Event Coordination - or a role (professional or non) requiring equivalent skill set
• Exceptional storyteller, writer and editor with a love for translating messages into simple, intuitive, creative communications
• Strong ability to deliver on projects and events coupled with resourcefulness and excellent judgment - e.g. you can independently drive a project to the finish line but know when to escalate roadblocks
• Outstanding interpersonal communicator
• Extremely sharp eye for detail; excellent organization and project management
• Enthusiasm for a fast-paced, always-on, start-up environment plus a ruthless pursuit of excel
