SUMMARY
The HR Business Partner will support our Technology business. While the role will be based in Jersey City, NJ or Menlo Park, CA, support for the organization will be required across multiple locations, thus travel will be required. This individual will bring HR expertise and business understanding to their client, and assist in influencing, coaching, and counseling employees and managers throughout all business cycles. The HR Business Partner will be responsible for setting direction and assisting in the execution of programs such as retention, employee relations, performance management, compensation planning, and internal employee communication. This individual will work with the management team on human capital issues and assist in planning, problem-solving and execution. This individual will primarily work with the technology business unit and will also be expected to provide thought leadership on HR strategy company-wide.
RESPONSIBILITIES
● Act as a consultant and business partner with senior management to help make human capital related decisions and develop strategy that will improve business performance.
● Provide HR support and assist in the facilitation of business initiatives aligned to E*TRADE FINANCIAL’s strategic objectives.
● Act as a change agent and facilitate adoption of organizational objectives in partnership with the CIO
● Work with the Senior Leadership team and frontline managers on a wide variety of employee related issues including recruiting, compensation, performance management, and investigations and recommend appropriate courses of action.
● Analyze data for use in discussions with senior management regarding critical topics such as attrition, recruiting, etc.
● Assist in administration of company compensation and benefits and compensation programs.
● Assist with administration of company-wide human resources policies, procedures, and practices in accordance with stated corporate objectives and federal and state legal requirements.
● Stay abreast of business and workplace trends specific to FinTech organizations. Analyze people processes, information and trends to make recommendations to leaders of the business for continuous improvement
REQUIREMENTS
MUST HAVE EXPERIENCE
● 15 total years of work experience. Seven years HR business partner experience, preferably working with a Financial Services or Technology organization.
● Success working collaboratively and developing strong, positive working relationships
● Analytical, quantitative, and technical skills used to leverage data to create HR strategies that support and drive business results
● Proven business analytical skills utilizes critical thinking and analytical skills regularly to identify issues and trends, develop solutions and/or recommendations to address root cause
● Excellent judgment and demonstrated ability to make sound decisions and be creative in developing alternative solutions in a fast paced environment
● Strong interpersonal skills, both written and verbal communication and proven ability to work with senior management
● Working knowledge of HR laws and regulations
EDUCATION, CERTIFICATION, TRAINING
● Bachelor’s degree (B.A.) or equivalent experience
