DESCRIPTION
The Amazon Devices Team is looking for an exceptional creative director to raise the bar for Amazon our devices and services portfolio – both online and offline.
Are you a brilliantly talented creative director with a passion for brand development, digital platforms, and retail experiences that can think strategically and successfully build and inspire a creative team? Are you customer obsessed as you develop a vision, quickly bring concepts to life as prototypes, then iterate and refine them to deliver against business requirements?
The ideal candidate will be passionately customer-centric and have a deep portfolio that demonstrates design excellence in bringing brands, products, and services to life. This role is for a highly capable creative leader and team manager who can direct internal and external creative resources, and has the composure and communication talent to effectively engage with senior executives.
Key Responsibilities
• Develop, inspire and build the design and photography teams and partner with the copy team to create best-in-class digital campaigns for the front window of Amazon.com and product experiences.
• Own creative strategy for on-site campaigns, including the desktop homepage, product pages, mobile, email and applications to other channels such as social.
• Effectively develop relationships with product teams, research, and marketing teams to develop strategy that drives compelling creative executions.
• Bring our brands, products, services to life and help raise the bar on customer engagement in retail environments, working closely with our channel teams.
• Lead development of innovative online and offline creative assets, from concept to delivery.
• Evangelize brand style and tone, and develop usage guidelines and templates that support the devices and services business around the world.
• Quickly develop concept mockups to visualize new ideas in context.
• Present campaign concepts effectively to senior executives.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

• 7+ years of relevant professional experience driving strategy and execution.
• Demonstrated creative leadership of teams (8 – 30+ people)
• Bachelor's degree in in Marketing, Advertising, Fine Arts, Design or similar or equivalent professional experience.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
• A demonstrated portfolio of breakthrough creative ideas, creating original advertising and creative marketing concepts
• Experience with a high-volume advertising design studio, ad agency or internal corporate agency.
• A demonstrated storyteller within offline and online mediums.
• Experience building creative teams, finding the best talent, nurturing that talent, and knowing how to use both internal and external resources effectively.
• Ability to lead multiple, simultaneous creative development efforts effectively in a fast-paced, metric driven environment.
• Unwavering attention to detail with an acute awareness that every design detail in creative execution counts.
• A creative and analytical mind that thrives in an environment that encourages new ideas and also relies on data-driven decision making
• Strong organizational planning and development, business judgment, technical leadership, and communication skills.
• Curiosity to dig several layers deep into success metrics, have an innate desire to understand key drivers.
• Proven track record of taking ownership and driving results on creative projects, and history of establishing effective creative development processes.
• Demonstrated business acumen, including experience of budgeting and resourcing.
• Self-motivated team player, with refined and assertive leadership skills.
• Relentless desire for innovation, balanced with business and user interaction priorities.
• Demonstrated experience managing creative processes through external ad agencies, internal teams and freelancers.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication, collaboration and presentation skills.
• Proficiency in a variety of design tools such as InDesign, Photoshop, and Illustrator.
