Job Description
One Technologies is seeking a technology leader responsible for providing hands on, visionary leadership for the IT Infrastructure Operations team. The position reports directly to the Chief Technology Officer. This role is responsible for defining IT Infrastructure strategy, direction, architecture, standards and management to include disaster recovery, security, systems, servers, monitoring, performance, networks and storage. This role must ensure reliable 24x7 operations in a Windows heavy, high availability eCommerce environment. This position will act as a liaison between IT and business teams, ensuring alignment and effective delivery of new IT solutions with our marketing, product, and technology initiatives. This is a visible, strategic role tasked with building and maintaining a best in class IT function.
Responsibilities
• Implement and manage processes and controls that assure maximum uptime and quick service to the user community.
• Establish and manage compliance with necessary IT policies and procedures for the smooth operations and recovery of the computing environment
• Develop a Disaster Recovery strategy plan for systems and infrastructure
• Assess single points of failure in infrastructure and recommend actions as appropriate.
• Oversee the monitoring, maintenance, upgrade and administration of all IT systems, to include applications, servers, storage, databases, desktops / laptops and mobile devices
• Provide strategic direction and leadership for the IT Operations team to include setting priorities, coordinating projects and resources, and the reporting on group activities
• Establish service level agreements (SLAs) and operating level agreements in alignment with
company objectives and customer needs
• Design, implement, deploy and manage systems/applications monitoring processes and tools to
proactively identify and resolve problems within the company computing environment
• Proactively manage the company and vendor resources to work through events/ problems in order to minimize end-user impact.
• Draft and distribute communications to the IT team and affected end-users
• Evaluate, recommend, implement and administer cloud-based services to provide key functionality to the company.
• Negotiate and manage contracts with key service providers to ensure service levels are met.
• Manage the timely backup and recovery of applications and systems to enable the recovery of information should an adverse event occur
• Design, manage, upgrade and deploy standardized hardware and software images and configurations for the end-user computing environment in alignment with business requirement
• Establish standardized processes and key operational metrics based upon ITIL to effectively manage the performance of the Operations organization. This includes availability and performance of applications and servers, service desk ticket management, hardware, lifecycle management, etc.
• Research and recommend new technologies, applications, hardware, etc.
Qualifications
• Bachelor’s or advanced degree in computer science, business information systems, and 10+ years’ experience
• Demonstrated experience transforming IT infrastructure and moving an organization toward a mature service delivery model
• Proven experience in IT infrastructure management in a complex, customer-facing eCommerce environment
• Possess a background in architecture, systems administration, network administration and storage administration
• Leadership experience directing, leading and mentoring IT professionals
• Demonstrated delivery orientation
• Solid project management skills and the ability to manage multiple projects concurrently
• Extensive experience with enterprise monitoring and reporting tools
• Strong knowledge of change management systems and methodologies
• Demonstrates the business and financial acumen necessary to develop and present data-based ideas and solutions in a clear, concise, organized manner
• Experience designing and administering IP based networks, WAN technologies, virtual server technologies, cloud, DHCP/DNS, MS Azure, MS Office 365, SAN/NAS Storage
• Strong analytical capability and excellent verbal and written communication skills Knowledgeable across a broad set of technology platforms
• Demonstrated experience transforming IT infrastructure and moving an organization toward a mature service delivery model
• Proven experience in IT infrastructure management in a complex, customer-facing eCommerce environment
• Possess a background in architecture, systems administration, network administration and storage administration
• Leadership experience directing, leading and mentoring IT professionals
• Demonstrated delivery orientation
• Solid project management skills and the ability to manage multiple projects concurrently
