We are currently searching for a Director of Product Analytics to join our growing team in our downtown San Francisco headquarters. Data drives everything we do at Hotwire, test-and-learn is part of our DNA. We love to experiment with new ways to attract, delight and retain customers, and we rely on our top-notch Analytics team to tell us which experiments are winners.
The Role
This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Analytics professional to lead Product Analytics and Tools & Instrumentation efforts. In this role, you will partner closely with the VP of Product, oversee analytics on mobile app, web, supply tools and core applications, create experimentation best practices to enable robust product A/B testing, and provide data-driven recommendations on prioritizing product investments. The role reports into the Head of Analytics.
Responsibilities:
• Lead Mobile Analytics, Website Analytics and Tools & Instrumentation efforts.
• Coach and manage a team of 6-8 experienced analysts.
• Engage with the VP of Product and product directors to develop analytics vision and engagement model.
• Leverage data and insight to co-develop product roadmap with VP of Product and his direct reports.
• Champion analytics and data-driven decision making best practices and promote them within the Product organization.
• Leverage data to create a holistic view of onsite and in-app customer behavior and to diagnose drivers for business impact.
• Partner with business stakeholders (Product, Marketing) to diagnose business problems.
• Partner with BI / Data Warehouse team to define data and reporting requirements, identify data issues and improve data solutions.
• Partner with Marketing and Supply analytics teams to tackle company-wide analytical challenges and drive overall business impact.
Desired Skills and Experience Requirements:
• B.S. Degree Computer Science, Engineering, Statistics or Economics.
• MBA or an advanced degree in Statistics or Economics.
• 5-7 years of demonstrated success in web, mobile, marketing, product or customer analytics.
• 3-5 years of experience in managing a team of technically advanced analytical professionals.
• Strong applied analytics with extensive analytical toolset including an advanced understanding of statistics.
• Proven ability to quickly diagnose business problems and translate high-level business questions into analysis roadmaps.
• Excellent written and verbal communication. Ability to leverage and create frameworks to assist with communicating complex ideas to different audiences.
• Track record of leading highly collaborative cross-functional efforts, including partnering with Product and Marketing professionals.
• Deep knowledge of ecommerce, online marketing, and mobile trends.
• Experience of working in a fast paced, evolving, team environment.
• Experience of working with the C-suite.
• Familiarity with the travel industry preferred.
• Top strategy consulting or top corporate strategy experience is a plus.
