Responsibilities
• Coordinates all logistical support for training programs requiring assistance. Support may include site setup, scheduling of programs, and notification of attendees, facility liaison/support, and delivery of program materials. Ensures all pre- and post-program activities are handled in a timely manner.
• Utilizes extensive functionality within the Learning Management System (LMS) to include course setup, pushing training to large audiences, managing custom e-mails, registrations, monitoring of class sizes, tracking of participant information, accessing large amounts of data, etc. Monitors and tracks employee training activities. Runs reports from the system, typically considered complex in nature, on a regular basis. Makes recommendations to training program owners on how to best leverage the LMS.
• Prepares and updates training materials, typically considered moderately under direction of Sr. Director of Learning & Development. Closely reviews training materials to ensure quality of preparation. May update training related content and handle other project related work, as assigned.
• Troubleshoots issues participants encounter with accessing LMS as well as problems with using self-paced e-Learning modules.
• Reserves conference space, coordinates physical setup of room, and coordinates catering services.
• Monitors and maintains inventory of training materials and supplies to meet training program needs. Prepares and/or re-orders additional materials and supplies, as needed.
• Answers participant questions regarding training programs (e.g., travel arrangements, enrollment, training materials, usage of LMS, etc.).
• Assists in identifying outside resources, as needed. Works with vendors to handle all logistics-related needs.
• Prepares reports using excel, the LMS on an as needed basis.
• Must know how to use MS Power Point, Excel, Outlook & Word.
• Assists other leaders in HR on an as-needed basis.
Qualifications
• Enrolled at a university/educational institution to obtain either a Bachelor's or Graduate level degree, returning for the Fall 2018 semester
• Minimum GPA of 3.2 in one of the following preferred majors: Human Resources Management, Organizational Development, Industrial Relations, Business Management, or Psychology.
• Desire to work in the HR Organization
• Excellent analytical and communication skills
• Team player who can work in a collaborative environment
• Attention to detail, ability to exercise sound judgment and handle sensitive information with discretion
• Strong time management and multitasking skills; can handle multiple responsibilities and projects with competing priorities and deadline
• Outstanding problem solving skills and the ability to streamline processes in a fast-paced and dynamic environment
• Experience with Excel and PowerPoint
*Prefer a local candidate or someone within reasonable commuting distance to NYC. Relocation/housing assistance is not available for this position.
