The ideal candidate is passionate about coaching and developing a team of Business Development Representatives that are responsible for developing and qualifying revenue opportunities and sales pipeline within their assigned territory. They generate new business opportunities to fuel the business units pipeline by conducting strategic research and creative and persistent outreach (including “cold calling”.) You will play a key role as you lead/manage this highly visible and motivated team that achieves individual, team and organizational quotas. You'll be a valuable contributor to the corporate sales strategy while providing definition and implementation of the plan for Sales to achieve corporate objectives.
Responsibilities:
• Lead the Business Development Team to Success
• Hire, Train and Develop a team of Business Development Reps
• Reporting on sales and pipeline generation activity and forecast to senior sales management
• Motivate Individuals and Team to exceed objectives through coaching, regular broadcast of results, and creative incentives
• Regularly report and manage Team/Individual Results - Lead Quantity, Quality, Revenue
• Develop Reps into sales-ready candidates for future Account Executive positions
• Work closely with Marketing and Alliances on defining Campaign follow-up and reporting and on lead quantity and quality
• Work closely with Sales Management team and Reps to ensure we drive pipeline needed to meet business requirements and growth.
• Work closely with Operations to make recommendations on process improvements
• Identify and make recommendations for improvement and innovation in the areas of Process, Efficiency, Productivity
• Contribute thought leadership and best practice, both internally and externally, around business transformation
Required Skills & Experience:
• 3-5+ years of experience in sales management or sales development management, preferably in CRM or enterprise applications
• Consistent proven track record of overachievement of quota expectations
• Excellent presentation and listening skills
• Outstanding communication, organizational and time management skills
• Process and metric oriented
• Experience in developing and training sales and lead generation teams
• Must be able to thrive in a very fast paced and constantly changing environment
• Successful track record in a high volume transaction sales and lead generation environment
• Proven experience successfully managing people to achieve and exceed performance goals
• Bachelor’s degree
• Prior experience and knowledge of Cloud Computing technologies would be an advantage
• Passion for helping advance the missions of non-profit organizations
• Experience with Salesforce.com and Salesforce.com applications are a plus
