Position Overview:
The Commercial Operations Regional Team is the face of global Commercial Strategy and Services Operations at Expedia. As regional commercial guides, we are charged with accountability and communication on issues and projects for our assigned regions EMEA, APAC & Americas. For this position, we are looking for a strong operational partner; focused, organized and detail oriented, with excellence in communication and air product knowledge for North America.

Responsibilities in this Position:
• Prioritize, triage and track issues in regards to air and car shopping, pricing, booking and ticketing impacting relevant regions. Own and drive issues into the appropriate Global Functional Support teams that resolve them.
• Collaborate closely with Expedia's Air & Car Commercial team, Product Management, Technology, other cross functional teams on critical issues, inquiry requests & new initiatives.
• Become an authority on the Expedia Brands in the North American region.
• Support the strategic objectives of the air & car business for their region
• Support the rollout of new features, product offerings and drive new Points of Sale work from an operational delivery perspective.
• Provide continuous feedback to internal customers through meetings & formal reporting.
• Research & analyze trends in transactional data if needed, to continually improve the customer experience and operating costs.
• Support specific in-country initiatives, products, workflows and air fulfillment performance.
Requirements and Qualifications:
• You have 4 - 7 years of relevant, professional work experience with strong knowledge of the tour, car, air and travel marketplace and a sound understanding of regulatory requirements.
• Bachelor’s Degree preferred.
• You present with strong skills to analyze complex issues and possess problem-solving skills.
• Collaborate and work closely with business partners to define, implement and support travel products.
• Strong customer orientation and the ability to work across multiple business divisions.
• Highly flexible and capable of navigating through complex issues in a dynamic environment.
• Advanced analytical skills to support the optimization of varied business opportunities and ability to effectively prioritize tasks.
• You constantly wonder about a better solution or different path to get to the goal.
• Proven knowledge of Global Distribution Systems, Travel Agency Automation and Fares & Pricing.
• Excellent communication & interpersonal skills.
• Ability to gain a quick understanding on technology with a particular focus on e-commerce.
