We are the Commercial Strategy & Services (CSS) organization procuring and handling the supply for Expedia’s air, car, cruise, and travel insurance products and setting the strategy for these products as well as travel packages.

Our CSS Operations team is currently looking for a global Transportation Analyst – more specific an Airline Debit Memo Analyst (ADM Analyst). The main responsibility includes analyzing data for trends in airline debit memos and subsequently develop strategies for short and long-term reductions to ADM expense. The role requires you to think creatively and have an investigative instinct to seek out details and information that lead to the source or root cause of an issue. In addition, you have the opportunity to apply knowledge and experience to issues that have not been previously encountered. You will determine and communicate the most effective solutions. Analysts in this role will coach and motivate ADM agents working for multiple vendors in global locations and assure agents are adhering to rigorous quality standards in research processes, performance, and communication with all business partners globally.
Responsibilities:

• Perform research and analysis to identify system or process trends; and request further assessment from internal & external partners. Make recommendations for issue resolution and overall process improvement.
• Investigate and analyze validity of debit memos brought up from vendors; consult with account manager, and dispute as appropriate with airline and/or GDS.
• Assist other points of sale in debit memo research and negotiations.
• Develop working relationship with airlines and GDS to resolve open debit memo issues.
• Collaborate with Account Managers by investigating issues and creating support documents, and making recommendations.
• Identify internal and external system issues and report to appropriate group.
• Create and provide ad-hoc reports for various departments across the company.
• Reconcile monthly airline reports with fulfillment partner records and airline provided data.
Business Hours:
CSS Ops ADM is a global team and their work hours are 6.30am-2.30pm PST, Monday through Friday, with some flexibility. Please make sure you can accommodate this schedule.
Experience and Qualification:
• Minimum of two years' relevant experience in the travel industry. Agency or airline environment.
• One year of corporate travel experience is preferred.
• Experience with booking, ticketing, refunding, and exchanging tickets.
• Ability to understand and comprehend airline pricing, fare rules and restrictions in order to adequately research issues.
• Knowledge of airline rules and regulations including but not limited to fare rule interpretation, basic ticketing, ticket exchanges, ticket refunds and Airline initiated schedule changes preferred.
• Self-motivated and able to work well with frequently shifting priorities.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving and organization skills are necessary.
• Excellent attention to detail, handling complex tasks and problems.
• Personal effectiveness, including the ability for cross-functional collaboration.
• Ability to write thorough and understandable documentation.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office tools; specifically Word and Excel.
• Proficient in one or more Global Distribution Systems (GDS) Sabre, Amadeus preferred; native mode required.
• Excellent relationship building skills.
