Product Designer, Compass
The MongoDB Design team is seeking an experienced Product Designer to join our Enterprise Tools team, leading user experience for Compass. By focusing on developer experience, MongoDB has reimagined what a database can be. Today it is the fastest growing database on the planet. In addition to the core database, MongoDB offers a growing suite of web-based products and services including Compass: the easiest way to visually explore and manipulate your MongoDB data.
As a Product Designer, you will be involved in every aspect of the product development process. By leveraging your skills in product design, interaction design, and visual design you will serve as an advocate for the user, helping to facilitate the user-centered product development process and allowing them to intuitively monitor the state of their systems.
Additionally, you will help influence design process and best practices on the team. You will lead projects working with engineers and product managers on the MongoDB Compass team, ensuring that requirements have been met and edge cases have been addressed. You will also have opportunities to act as a mentor for more junior members of the design team, applying your experience to help grow the team’s collective abilities.
