Job Description:
RingCentral is seeking a seasoned Business Solutions Architect to lead complex and cross-functional IT initiatives. The Business Solutions Architect works with other Technology team members, business leaders, consultants, and end users in coordinating and developing solutions within RingCentral CRM, ERP, DWH, Business Intelligence and Core Platform from concept through implementation and support.
Responsibilities:
• Responsible for all phases of the software development lifecycle including: definition, design and planning, development, unit testing, QA testing, installation, deployment, and support. First point of contact for issues relative to the company business systems and interfaces (including, but not limited to: ERP, DWH and CRM).
• Orchestrate a corporate architecture run book for each functional delivery area and create business cases for strategic programs
• As a key member of the Technology team is our key person to evangelize and influence changes in technologies, architecture and processes. A wide degree of creativity and latitude is expected.
• Prioritize functional / feature Software requests, and provide expert level assistance where necessary to a variety of requests generated by business owners / users.
• Recommend, implement and document changes to business systems and processes.
• Proactively bring new ideas for how our team can use new technologies to scale to Benefit’s business and staff growth
• Bring recommendations for improvements to architecture, infrastructure, and functionality.
• Regularly review the activities of competitors and peers and report on evolutions within the industry that would benefit our brand
• Be the lead for all systems design, including performance, scalability, security and other technology focus areas.
• Partner to work hand in hand with our Integrations Architect and CRM development team
Qualifications:
• BS/BA in business management information systems, computer science, software engineering, business, or equivalent technical degree required.
• 5+ years of experience in enterprise systems architecture
• 5+ years of experience in an analyst role writing functional specifications and test plans
• 5+ years of experience in a general IT environment within corporate setting
• Experience with the following or related technologies:
• SOAP and REST services
• SalesForce architecture and development principles
• Development and integration with Workday is highly desired
• Enterprise level ETL and integration tools is highly desired
• NetSuite ERP is highly desired
• Deep understanding of data platform technologies used in transactional and data warehousing systems
• Strong SQL and data modeling skills
• Strong SDLC skills including the generation of requirements and test cases
• Understands and experienced with securely integrating external and internal systems
• Thrives in a fast-paced environment with multiple project assignments
• Ability to work independently with minimum supervision
• Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills, ability to collaborate efficiently with business and technical peers, resolve conflicts and lead overall design of the data projects.
• Experience with hybrid (cloud/on premises) integration architecture patterns is highly desirable
