Group Product Manager – Supply Chain
The Group Product Manager for Supply Chain is responsible for developing the systems, tools and process that will enable our Supply Chain to be a source of competitive advantage in the retail industry. You will be an integral part of setting the strategic vision for our supply chain. As the Group Product Manager, you will oversee a large team of product managers and engineers working to advance our supply chain. You will be a core part of the leadership team shaping our supply chain strategy and executing that strategy to achieve results. You will need to have sharp business acumen, extensive technology experience, keen analytical instincts and effective people management skills.
Group Product Manager – Supply Chain Job Responsibilities and Requirements
Set the strategic vision
• Set the vision of what the future of our Supply Chain will look like and the roadmap to get there (partnering with supply chain business leaders)
• Leverage the right technology to enable a fast and efficient supply chain
• Competitive benchmarking of other eCommerce retailer supply chain systems to ensure we are best in class in key strategic areas of our supply chain
• Provide executive level updates on results, status, and future roadmap
Extensive technology experience
• Speak the language of software engineers and be the point person to translate business needs into technology requirements
• Extensive familiarity with key supply chain systems and their functionalities (Transportation management systems, order management systems, warehouse management systems, etc)
• Be familiar with key third party providers of supply chain software and supply chain integration services
Analytical insights
• Be hypothesis driven and data driven to identify opportunities and prove out the potential and realized impact
• Shape the direction and approach of business analysts supporting the initiatives that you will drive
• Develop analytical models in excel and SQL to help drive ideation, scoping or results analysis of critical initiatives
• Be intellectually curious by exploring relevant data and diving deep into data to uncover insights
Effective people management
• Lead a team of product managers and engineers to achieve business objectives through the use and development of new technology
• Coordinate across departments with other product management teams to ensure technological solutions are compatible technology deployed in other parts of the company
• Coordinate with business leaders in Operations, Merchandising and Marketing to ensure alignment between business needs and the technology roadmap
Physical Requirements
This position requires the incumbent to sit, stand and perform general office functions. The incumbent may also be required to lift up to 25 pounds occasionally. Bending, stooping and reaching are also frequently required.
