DESCRIPTION
Amazon seeks an experienced Finance Manager to play a key role on the Amazon Devices Finance Team. Over the past decade Amazon has developed a number of market-leading, innovative, and fast-growing digital and mobile businesses including Kindle, Kindle Fire Tablets, Fire TV and Echo. This is an exciting opportunity to support Amazon Business Development.
As a Finance Manager, you will partner with Business Development across multiple lines of business to provide financial intelligence for key decisions in a timely, accurate and actionable manner. Job responsibilities include:
• Understanding the business needs and creating a solution or approach to support the business
• Building financial models to forecast revenues and expenses on established businesses as well as new strategic initiatives
• Coordinating and obtaining buy-in from cross functional stakeholders
• Presenting financial summaries and business insights to business partners
• Manages device royalties and payments
The role requires a self-starter with the ability to be strategic, analytical, and have a demonstrated ability to effectively manage the financial responsibilities of a business development idea. The candidate must be have strong business modeling skills, a keen attention to detail, ability to work in a fast-paced environment and a proven track record of influencing business partners. The candidate must be able to work with ambiguous inputs into financial models. Excellent business and communication skills are a must in order to develop and define key business questions and to build data sets that answer those questions. You need be able to work with business customers in understanding the business requirements and implementing solutions.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
• BA/BS degree required with 7+ years of relevant experience OR MBA with 5+ years of relevant experience
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
• Track record of working with business owners to develop and define key business questions and build data sets that answer those questions
• Superior attention to detail, project management skills and the ability to successfully manage multiple projects simultaneously
• Strong analytical and communication skills with an ability to articulate complex financial views to business teams
• Ability to work quickly and accurately in an ambiguous environment
• MBA or MS in Finance or a related field
