DESCRIPTION
Amazon seeks a Finance Manager to be a key member in Amazon Device Finance supporting the Appstore business team. The Amazon Appstore offers a large selection of apps and games to customers on Amazon Fire TV, Fire Tablets or any other Android device worldwide. In this role, you will work closely with the Appstore marketing and business development teams.
As a Finance Manager, you will work directly with business leaders to identify business or savings opportunities, develop business cases and forecast financial performance. Job responsibilities include:
• Financial modeling of marketing campaigns, partnering with the marketing teams to maximize the efficiency of marketing spend.
• Financial modeling of proposals to bring developers to Amazon Appstore.
• Building and evaluating financial models for new business concepts.
• Establishing and maintaining operating and business metrics.
• Presenting financial summaries and business insights to senior management.
• Explaining financial performance and variances versus plan.
• Executing the financial controls of the process to pay developers royalties.
The successful candidate will have experience influencing business owners and supporting decision making in rapidly evolving environments. The role requires a self-starter with strong modeling skills, a keen attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple projects effectively. This role has frequent interaction with executives and various business units across Amazon, and therefore requires strong interpersonal and communication skills.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
• BA / BS degree in finance, accounting, business, economics or related field and 7+ years of relevant Finance experience OR master's and 5+ years of relevant Finance experience
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
• MBA or MS in Finance or related field.
• Demonstrated ability to work independently and self-motivate in a fast paced environment.
• Demonstrated ability to manage competing priorities and drive projects to completion.
• Demonstrated ability to influence decisions through effective verbal and written communication, logical reasoning and the presentation of alternatives.
• Management experience.
• Advanced Excel skills.
