DESCRIPTION
Amazon seeks a Financial Analyst for our Amazon Device FP&A team to be a key financial partner in driving analytical support for senior leadership. The successful candidate will be a self-starter, comfortable with ambiguity and be able to create and maintain efficient, automated processes for tracking and reporting financial metrics.
Responsibilities
1. Own and produce Amazon Device financials, including Product Line reporting.
2. Support month-end closing activities and controllership functions, working closely with Accounting partners.
3. Partner with product finance teams to develop processes and reports to deliver timely and insightful financial performance analysis to senior leadership.
4. Develop deep dive tools to better understand business trends.
5. Assist in annual financial planning reviews.
6. Drive processes improvements and execute scalable solutions.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
• Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, business or related field and 3+ years of relevant finance experience.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
• Advanced analytical skills and demonstrated ability to meet deadlines while managing multiple projects in a fast-paced and rapidly changing environment.
• Advanced knowledge of Excel.
• Demonstrated ability to build and manage financial models for business forecasting, variance analysis, and problem solving.
• Experience establishing processes and coordinating multiple teams to facilitate timely and accurate deliverables.
• Comfortable analyzing large volumes of complex data and presenting findings to senior management.
• A work ethic based on a strong desire to exceed expectations.
• Familiarity with financial reporting software (Cognos/Oracle/Essbase).
• Strong attention to detail.
