We’re looking for a passionate and talented Research Manager to manage data and analytics needs for the Strategic Events team globally. The successful candidate will be a strong analytical thinker who is driven by how data can drive efficiencies, cost savings, and key insights to improve future event planning and execution. Reporting to the Manager, Event Operations, the Research Manager will enjoy working in a fast-paced, global organization and demonstrate an ability to think outside the box.
Responsibilities
• Manage and grow global event vendor database to drive price competitiveness in vendor negotiations
• Develop systemized set of logic and principles, based on historic event data, to inform key planning decisions
• Serve as key strategic partner to project teams, ensuring adoption of data tools in their planning and execution processes
• Identify new opportunities for streamlining and quantifying event outcomes
• Collaborate closely with People Analytics team on data collection and analyses
• Action all other reasonable requests as stipulated by the Strategic Events team and event needs
• Support with internal event requests as needed
Qualifications
• Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent
• Proficient in Microsoft Suite, Google Suite online, Tableau and Air Table (preferred)
• A passion for people and events and how metrics can lead to better events
• Proven ability to tell stories through data to be captured and shared in presentations for executive leadership
• Highly skilled at taking goals and determining how they should be measured
• At least 5-7 years of relevant experience in a medium to high growth company
• Highly creative, analytical problem solver who thrives in ambiguous environments
• Proven ability to manage and execute tasks to the highest standard
• A highly organised individual who can cope with change of pace, will have an outstanding attention to detail as well as someone who is very outcome focused and target driven
• Demonstrate integrity, dependability, responsibility, accountability, self-awareness, strong work ethic and empathy
