Amazon Web Services is looking for a Finance Manager to support our equipment financing program, which secures funding for the global infrastructure behind AWS products and services. In this high visibility role, the Finance Manager will work closely with senior leadership and stakeholders, internal and external, to execute on the AWS equipment financing strategy and manage relationships with financial institutions across the globe. The Finance Manager will collaborate with the Legal team to negotiate the terms and conditions of the lease agreements, and with the Treasury team to negotiate interest rates for financings with banks from around the world.
Key responsibilities in this role include:
• Owning and managing AWS relationships with banking entities across the globe.
• Establishing new relationships, negotiating financing contractual terms, and onboarding new partnerships to our operations and processes.
• Managing compliance with current contracts and controls, while developing new processes and controls to support the growing, global AWS business.
• Partnering with Treasury and our external financing partners to lead a bid process securing capital at the lowest possible costs.
• Analyzing market conditions and managing ongoing capacity planning efforts.
• Leading in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reviews on the program’s performance.
• Collaborating with others in Finance and our development teams in the creation of new business and reporting tools.
• Driving a rigorous and proactive cadence of communications, keeping stakeholders informed on current statuses and engaged in key decisions.
• Proactively identifying areas for process improvement and automation, identifying both issues and solutions, as well as developing and maintaining comprehensive documentation.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
• Bachelor's degree
• 5+ years of relevant experience
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
• MBA or Master’s in a related field
• 3+ years of experience managing cross-functional efforts and programs with tight deadlines
• Relationship management or sales experience showing ability to organize tasks, prioritize competing demands, find solutions, and follow through to successful conclusions
• Industry experience at a multinational organization
• Experience with contract negotiations
• Experience in, and a working understanding of, equipment lease financing
• Understanding of the global interest rate environment
• Working knowledge of finance and accounting concepts and methodologies
• High level of comfort communicating effectively across internal and external organizations
• Advanced analytical and Excel skills
• Familiarity with financial systems such a Cognos TM1
• Ability to dive deep into data, processes, and systems in order to invent, simplify and improve inefficient or unnecessarily complex processes
• Comfort with ambiguity and an ability to work independently with a high degree of autonomy
