We are looking for a Sr. Director of Brand Marketing to lead the company’s brand strategy and innovation to support our corporate, product, partner and customer initiatives.
The Sr. Director of Brand Marketing will own the development of the overall brand strategy and plan to raise RingCentral’s visibility in the market globally, increasing mindshare with key audiences and influencers. The ideal candidate is a seasoned brand strategist, who is both creative and analytical and is well versed in all disciplines of brand management, and has experience elevating brands through innovative and compelling storytelling and campaigns.
Responsibilities:
• Drive overall brand strategy for RingCentral with ownership of our brand platform, brand architecture, messaging/positioning frameworks, and voice and tone
• Manage brand campaigns with ownership of all messaging, creative, and campaign KPI’s
• Lead annual brand perception study, making recommendations to move the needle and measure shift in perceptions year after year
• Work in partnership with our product marketing teams on naming architecture and strategy
• Ensure consistency of brand identity, messaging, and visual expressions across corporate, product, partner, and customer communications
• Drive overall brand event experience in collaboration with our events team for all industry tradeshows and annual user conference
• Own the concept, development and execution for all corporate brand advertising (radio, out of home, print, digital)
• Oversee and manage brand reputation across critical affiliate partner sites
• Work in close collaboration with corporate counsel/legal to manage trademarks, copyrights and naming conventions
• Provide brand counsel to key internal and external stakeholders, including c-level executives and senior leaders
• Participate on RingCentral’s employee experience committee to help drive engagement around key talent brand initiatives
• Manage budget and brand agency to develop annual brand strategy plans, and execute to maximize results
• Collaborate with PR, AR, social media, creative, content marketing, product marketing, demand generation, and customer marketing to drive key campaigns
Experience/Skills Required
• 15+ years of experience leading brand strategy and management both in a corporate and agency environment. B2B experience required including some with a publicly traded company. SaaS/software industry experience a plus
• Highly motivated and committed leader with management experience including setting the vision for a team, driving towards goals, and offering development and mentoring
• Proven track record in creating innovative and targeted brand campaigns and programs that generate results
• Experience managing brand agencies and vendors
• Solid track record for generating successful corporate campaigns across all channels
• Proactive and outgoing with a get-it-done attitude.
• Outstanding written and verbal communication skills, and can be equally effective in both formal and informal settings with press, customers, senior executives, peers and business partners
• Accomplished range of skills from high level strategic thinking to creative and detailed execution
• Comfortable in a fast-paced environment
• Bachelor’s degree required ideally in Marketing, Advertising, Communications, and/or Mass Communications
