About the role
Zillow’s mission is to build the world’s most trusted and vibrant home related marketplace. As we continue to grow, we’re looking for an analytical leader to identify and capitalize on opportunities for growth in our fastest growing business unit, Zillow Group Rentals. The Rentals business connects consumers who are looking to lease with property managers who can help them do so. This leader will work across the product life cycle, from ideation to pilot to development to launch and beyond, to improve the way we do this across the Zillow Group brands and to generate better outcomes for our consumers and clients. Your responsibilities will include:
• Identify and size opportunities for products and features to better connect consumers with rental properties, property managers, and leasing agents
• Design and execute pilots to validate hypotheses about potential products and features we could build
• Define, prioritize, and advocate for key customer needs during the development of these products and features
• Identify, prevent, and remove roadblocks that threaten project milestones and business objectives
• Work with partners to develop and implement go-to-market strategies
• Measure success of new initiatives and make data-driven decisions to continually improve and/or course correct
• Identify and in some cases develop tools and processes necessary to support scale as we achieve success
• Work harmoniously across numerous teams and departments to understand organization-wide implications of changes in a rapidly growing organization
Who you are
• 5+ years of experience at a premier strategy consulting firm and/or 3+ years of product management experience at a premier technology company
• Outstanding quantitative and analytical skills with a keen understanding of how numbers will affect outcomes over both the short and long term.
• Great business, product, and customer intuition: Are you a good judge of what’s going to work IRL, not just in a PowerPoint deck?
• Love of the pilot: We like to fail fast but fail small and hope you do as well. We are looking for someone who likes to be scrappy.
• Strategic thinking: Can you keep your eyes on the big picture even while you’re tending to the smaller details?
• Ability to persuade: Can you convince the most senior executives in the company your proposal has merit? Or that their proposal doesn’t?
• Loves getting stuff done: We move fast and need someone who can keep up.
• Attention to detail: You like to do things right. So do we. But we also like getting things done.
• Quick study: Do you like to stun people with how fast you can master their domain? Great, come master ours.
• Easy to work with: There are no jerks at Zillow.
• Bachelor’s degree required, MBA or similar a big plus
