We are looking for a bright and energetic Compensation Partner who will drive the administration of the sales compensation plan for the Box Commissions team. The right individual must be able to work in a high-growth, fast-paced environment while managing multiple projects and strict deadlines. This position will be influential in ensuring sales incentive plans are executing as planned, commissions are accurate and paid on time, monthly commission accruals are booked, and the Xactly system is operating as intended by utilizing and recommending new system enhancements. An ideal candidate will focus much of their time collaborating across the organization to ensure timely, accurate plans and payments; managing and executing to our month-end close process; and partnering with Sales Management on statements & reporting while continually identifying and implementing process improvements.
Responsibilities
• Manage the monthly Xactly System calculation, payment files, and commissions reporting
• Xactly system maintenance (closing/finalizing, batch uploads, hierarchy management, SFDC integration, Workday integration, system enhancements)
• Prepare Monthly Commission Accruals, Journal Entries, and uploads into NetSuite
• Prepare Monthly flux analysis (MoM, QoQ variances on commission expense) for presentation and review with Corporate Controller
• Audit monthly commissions paid vs. accruals and reconcile differences
• Provide commission and data analytics to help our business partners analyze results and make decisions
• Partner with Technical Accounting to ensure commission expense is in line with budgetary expectations
• Manage monthly Commission metrics and provide meaningful insights to help identify areas of improvement
• Initiate and lead projects to successful completion
• Ensure appropriate level of compensation governance based on Box sales compensation policy; suggest policy changes or updates as needed
• Support audit deliverables related to compensation payouts and provide assistance related to Sarbanes-Oxley testing of commission processes
Qualifications
• BA/BS in Finance, Accounting or similar field
• 8+ years of experience in Sales compensation, commission analysis & sales support
• Strong accounting background and ability to manage commission expense v. accrual
• Demonstrated ability to re-engineer operations & processes
• Advanced Excel skills; 5+ years of Xactly experience; proficiency in Salesforce.com
• Superior problem-solving skills
