Business Operations Manager, Midwest
About the Business Operations Manager, Midwest Role:
As the Business Operations Manager in the Midwest territory (which currently includes Chicago, Detroit, and Minneapolis), you are a key member of the territory leadership team, and will work closely with Midwest General Manager, Sales Manager, and Director of Operations to support and optimize the planning and execution of all territory business initiatives.
For the Midwest Territory:
• You will ensure optimal business process and operational efficiency
• You will support the GM in the day-to-day management of the territory and act as the GM proxy as needed to effectively communicate key priorities and drive execution
• You will work cross-functionally amongst territory leadership to align on strategies that relate to community, operations, and sales
• You will be oversee the financials for the territory and advise leadership of the impact of business decisions and opportunities for financial improvement in the territory
• You will live the mission and values of WeWork at all times, and model the leadership behaviors you expect to see in your territory
Responsibilities:
• Work with the GM to define and oversee all business planning processes, including goal setting, strategic review, and performance summaries
• Continually assess key business processes and ensure they are properly documented and understood by all stakeholders
• Ensure all process changes are properly communicated from HQ and are implemented in the territory
• Collaborate with the regional finance leader to prepare budgets and manage ongoing reforecasting process
• Identify opportunities to reduce OPEX costs, increase revenue, and drive key business metrics
• Pull reports and analyze data related to KPIs, OKRs, and general business performance
• Lead special projects in the territory as needed
Business Operations Manager, Midwest
Experience & Requirements:
• BA / BS or equivalent in Business, Marketing, Hospitality or other related degree, MBA from a leading graduate business school is preferred
• Minimum 4+ years experience in results-oriented work experience in business development, strategy, operational and/or management consulting function
• Strong skill set in analyzing financial operations, modeling, including financial statements, expense management, ROI analysis, etc.
• Ability to apply Project Management tools to initiate, manage and monitor the development, implementation and execution of the strategy
• Thrive in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
• Able to multi-task and manage multiple projects at one time
• Strong communication and organizational skills
• Demonstrate integrity, dependability, responsibility, accountability
