Requirements
• Bachelor's Degree in Business, Finance, Accounting or related field plus 3 years' experience in finance or analytical role OR Advanced Degree OR 6 years' experience in finance or analytical role
• Experience in strategic and financial modeling (2+ years)
• Demonstrated experience working cross-functionally
• Experience with Microsoft Office tools (e.g., Word, PowerPoint, Excel)
PREFERRED
• Master's Degree in related field (e.g. MBA, MS Finance, MS Accounting, etc)
• Prior FP&A experience desirable
• Experience with multi-dimensional databases such as BOARD, TM1 or Hyperion
• Experience with business intelligence and reporting tools (e.g., Business Objects, MicroStrategy, SQL)
• Experience with SAP
• Experience with SalesForce CRM
• Experience with relational database management, database marketing and/ or customer-centric analytics
• Manufacturing, Wholesale, Direct Response or Retail industry experience
• Demonstrated time-management and multi-tasking skills coupled with a keen ability to prioritize assignments.
Description
The Senior Financial Analyst (business partnership) is a key member of the Harry and David Finance Team whose primary role is to collaborate with functional partners in support of the business strategy. The Senior Financial Analyst is responsible for developing and maintaining financial models and business cases to support executive level decision making and the financial planning process. This includes converting complex business plans into functional forecasts, developing and maintaining operating scorecards, and providing proactive analysis, insights, and recommendations to support strategic decisions and optimize business performance.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
This position is responsible for following analytical best practices, accurately reporting and analyzing results, identifying insights for decision making, and developing an unbiased, holistic view of the key drivers of business performance. This is achieved by executing diagnostic processes that survey current business performance and determining opportunities for the improvement of financial and business objectives.
To accomplish this, the Senior Financial Analyst must have solid knowledge of finance and/or business analytics. This individual will collaborate with finance peers to ensure that insights are understood and incorporated into work products. Additionally, the Senior Financial Analyst must be able to work effectively within a matrixed organization and demonstrate self-leadership skills and the ability to influence and interact with various levels of the organization.
