The Regional Platforms Director will have the following specific responsibilities:
Travel:
• High level of understanding of the landscape of online/tech distribution and 3PP and what players are out there (builds and maintains industry contacts in that space).
• High level of understanding of the different business segments using platform solutions, such as airlines, loyalty partners, corporate and government travel and why they use platforms to attain their business goals.

• Acts as EANs ambassador to the outside world in the platforms segment – able to represent EAN’s brand in front of large audiences of travel professionals.
Business:
• Is comfortable in interactions at C-level of a company (both EAN internal & external) and through their relationships, can negotiate major deals leveraging previous in depth experience in sales/commercial roles – good level of understanding of the needs of commercial, technical and financial staff from all different levels across the organization.
• Supports the EAN sales team to land major deals by offering support in negotiations, clearing “road blocks”, getting trade-offs and being a sought-for “counselor” for any deals made in that segment.
• Ability to work cross functionally with all teams at EAN and gain buy in at the senior levels of the organization
• Comfortable in complex commercials and incentives for partners/sub-partners and how different models can drive business forward in a structured way.
• Responsibility for reviews and assessment of partnerships, according to cost factors and how partnerships should be tiered/structured to make sure the top-producers/potential are given maximum resources
• Understanding of legal frameworks and contracts and able to represent these in negotiations with platform providers.
• Ability to perform analysis of business operations and experience using multiple data tools to drive in-depth reviews of partnerships on a constant basis and communicating internally on the performance of each partnership.
• Experience in project management with specific focus on timelines, milestones and a track record of being organized and pushing projects through completion.
• Ability to keep up with EANs newest developments and providing feedback into the product cycle for improvements for the segment.
Tech:
• A degree of understanding of code languages or is an experienced (former) coder themselves (script languages like PHP, Java, JavaScript, XML, JSON are “best friends”) is a plus.
• Ability to build tech projects with database/interface connections or has been a part of teams achieving this successfully – and knows of the myriad things that need to be put in place to make them successful (or what could also go wrong)
• Constant collaboration with the tech and product functions on an almost daily basis to improve launch requirements to simplify the integration and time spent for both EAN and partners
