Requirements
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Business, Engineering or related discipline with IT focus
• 4-6 yrs. experience in working with business and technology stakeholders with sensitivity and commitment to business problem solving via technology solutions
• Experience with Agile, working within Agile Management solutions such as Jira or Rally, and Scrum experience
• Positive attitude and high energy level with an ability to work collaboratively and build relationships at all levels within an organization
• Knowledge and practical familiarity with IT departmental processes in the areas of Architecture, Development, Support, and Operations required
• Excellent prioritization and organization skills
• Strong ability to hold self and others accountable to delivering results
• Excellent written/verbal communication, presentation, and listening skills, with the ability to present complex technical information in a clear and concise manner to a variety of audiences, including non-technical audiences
• Experience working in a fast paced, high-effort, dynamic work environment
• Strong Microsoft Office and Project skills
• Experience delivering eCommerce based projects backend to front end
• Prior experience in large scale web development and with an eCommerce website
• Good understanding of technical web environment and code release life-cycle
• Project management skills with ability to multi-task and manage multiple projects in cross functional environment
• Experience in a dynamic high-technology environment is preferred
• Demonstrated ability to lead and motivate staff to apply skills and techniques to solve dynamic problems
Description
1-800-Flowers.com, Inc is seeking an E-commerce Project Manager to join our Enterprise Technology team. This role will define scope, initiate, and manage large enterprise-wide efforts, with focus on Ecommerce. This position is perfect for an IT Project Manager who has embraced the Agile software development and Agile project management. This person should have both classic and Agile IT project management experience, and can leverage the two disciplines as appropriate.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
• Manage software development and integration e-commerce projects in a fast paced, constantly changing environment.
• Help manage planning, scheduling, estimating, forecasting, coordinating, controlling, managing and delivering all activities for projects and related release initiatives.
• Participate day-to-day progress of project(s) and release initiatives regarding time, budget, scope and quality.
• Help integrate activities with the application development teams and Business to ensure successful implementation and support.
• Work with Business and Development to get agreement with scope, cost estimates, constraints, timescales and resource requirements for the successful completion of each project.
• Gain commitments and highly influence during the project lifecycle to ensure deliverables are met and the project is completed within budget.
• Project Communication -- develop a communication plan to ensure all parties are aware of project scope, milestones, risks, and status. Highlights and explains any divergence from the plan.
• Identify and manage effectively all stakeholders, provide visibility and transparency so that appropriate action can be taken by senior management.
• Deliver accurate and timely reporting for in-flight projects and programs.
• Financial Management and Project Accounting -- apply corporate financial measures to monitor and track financial health, analyze resource requirements across multiple projects or across program to meet business goals.
• Improve Project Performance -- identify and recommend opportunities for improving the delivery model by analyzing consistent themes in lessons learned information.
