Salesforce is looking for a self motivated person to join its IT Department as a Senior Client Security Engineer to drive security technology of client endpoints across the environment. The candidate will need experience administering large client endpoint environments (30,000+) whose responsibilities include but are not limited to: endpoint management, maintaining security and patch levels, policy management, software packaging, utility and install scripting, and Tier 3 type escalations. As a Senior Client Security Engineer, the individual will be expected to design security solutions that meet our business needs, iterate to help scale and improve operational efficiencies, provide resolution to technical issues, handle operational escalations, and complete project deliverables.
YOUR IMPACT - Responsibilities
• Developing client endpoint security roadmap and strategies while maintaining the balance between "security", "operability", and "supportability"
• Maintaining, supporting, and administering security products and services
• Resolving complex security issues and incidents across a variety of technologies
• Executing security remediation strategy while adhering to enterprise deployment best practices and change management recommendations
• Responding to client security threats and remediation of the vulnerabilities while contributing to both short term and long term strategies to stay ahead of the curve
• Establishing and document standards, best practices, and policies
• Simplifying and automating operations and process where possible
• Supporting and mentoring members of the support team
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
• Strong interpersonal skills to be able to effectively communicate and negotiate with both technical and non-technical audience
• 4+ years experience in Windows, MacOS, Linux (Debian Ubuntu) administration
• Experience building & maintaining global images and imaging infrastructure via deployment tools such as MDT, WDS, Casper, SCCM
• Experience administering and scaling next generation client security products such as full disk encryption, firewall, anti-malware, anti-virus, log aggregator, endpoint detection and response tools in a large, globally distributed, on & off-net client endpoint environments of 40,000+ in volume
• Experience building complex deployment package managers using tools such as Composer, PackageMaker, MacPorts, Wise Package Studio, Admin Studio, Installshield
• Establish and document standards, best practices, and policies
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
• Strong Windows and Unix OS and architecture knowledge including registry, file system and folder security, and services
• Proficiency in Windows Active Directory, OU structure, AD security, GPO and LPO
• Proficiency in Network Virtualization and Security components including working knowledge of TCP/IP, DNS, WINS, DHCP, VPN, IPSec thin/thick/web application architectures
• Proficiency in BigFix, Tanium, Casper, Puppet, Git, Centrify, Puppet
• Proficiency in scripting with Shell, Bash, Applescript, VB, Powershell
• Expert scripting skills such as WMI, VB, Wise, PowerShell, AutoIt, Batch
• Proven track record in simplifying and automating IT operations and process where possible and engineering to scale in an enterprise environment
