Job description
We are seeking a proven, tactical and strategic Regional Vice President, West, to take full responsibility for developing and managing a team of 7-8 Senior Account Executives to generate revenue and achieve individual, team and organizational quotas within the Public Sector vertical. The appointed RVP will play a key role in driving strategic, enterprise-wide CRM sales initiatives to State and Local customers. Contributing to the Field sales strategy, the RVP will define and implement a plan for an assigned region to achieve Field objectives.
Responsibilities
Supporting direct reports by participating and leading in client and prospect meetings within the Public Sector, specifically State and Local throughout the West.
Ongoing development of sales team which includes recruiting, hiring and training new reps on the http://salesforce.com " target="_blank"> salesforce.com sales process.
Conducting weekly forecast meetings. Coaching and mentoring direct reports regarding strategies to drive closure.
Reporting on sales activity and forecast to senior sales management.
Consistently monitors the sales activity of the team, and tracks the results.
Desired Skills
Bachelors Degree
7 - 10+ years of software sales experience in an individual contributor and management role, including 3+ years sales management experience. Proven success generating sales within the Public Sector (State and Local customers.)
Proven record of sales success in a similar enterprise software application environment
Proven record of success in a high volume transaction sales environment
Will have managed and successfully delivered complex solutions, sales bids and campaigns
Will have a highly professional sales style and be able to negotiate comfortably and effectively at Board level. Able to prioritize and delegate in a fast paced environment
His/her professional sales management experience will enable them to successfully recruit high quality salespeople as appropriate
