Director Global Product Management - Flights

Expedia’s flights team is looking for a collaborative and inspirational Director to play a vital leadership role in our ongoing mission to offer travelers everywhere the lowest possible prices, the best available selection, and the best user experience for shopping and purchasing flights.
In this role you will develop and lead a strong team of flights product managers with responsibility for a portfolio of products and technologies which search, price, and provide marketing opportunities for Expedia flights. You will work with partners, suppliers, customers, and executive leadership to define and evangelize the flight product vision. You and your team will set the roadmap and execute the strategy using data to continuously evaluate progress and refine your strategy.

Responsibilities:
• Lead development of product strategy for Flights; own refinement & updates over time; evangelize & disseminate road map (including executive review).
• Inspire your team to collaboratively identify, quantify, prioritize, and document opportunities to improve: marketing features, flight shopping experience, and revenue generation.
• Develop business cases & justification for new initiatives; deliver post-mortems and results of shipped/tested/ongoing initiatives
• Measure & report performance of new and existing features & partnerships
• Manage and develop the skills of Product Managers reporting to you, building a highly efficient and effective product management team
• Watch industry, competitor, and technology trends in order to inform and adjust Flight product strategies
• Manage external partnerships and integrations: provide and evaluate technical components of RFPs, drive integration requirements, and perform ongoing relationship management.
• Travel (4+ International trips per year to Expedia Global Offices) & collaborate with global point of sale teams to understand unique local requirements and opportunities.

Qualifications:
• BA/BS Required
• 10+ years of product management or related experience, including several product/service launches using SCRUM/Agile Development to deliver Web and Mobile Applications
• Uncommon intellectual horsepower
• Experience in a high volume travel related eCommerce environment (Flight Industry experience preferred)
• Experience working with travel supply content systems and consolidators
• Experience in Mobile First responsive UX design
• Understanding of SEO/SEM standard methodologies in UX design
• Very strong interpersonal and communication skills (externally and internally at all levels)
• Ability to work across, and positively influence, a large & complex organization
• Deep experience with defining and executing key analyses that generate actionable insights
