Director, AppExchange & Communities Product Management, San Francisco
The Salesforce AppExchange is looking for an experienced product leader to drive innovation for our thriving ecosystem. Responsibilities
You will:
• Become an expert on the AppExchange business and growing ecosystem of Salesforce customers and partners - knowing the ins and outs of the end-to-end internal and external processes and products.
• Have detailed knowledge of your product area today as well as a broad vision for the future that drives meaningful change for customers, partners, and internal operations.
• Own and drive the next generation of communities for our customers and partners, AppExchange partner products, and related partner operations.
• Bring a detailed eye for user experience and design to ensure features drive high adoption and enthusiasm, establish strong collaboration with our UX team to create an intuitive, consistent user experience.
• Lead our engineering teams to deliver amazing features on aggressive timelines.
• Have direct PM responsibilities for some products as well as a small team to lead.
• Manage and mentor your team to achieve individual and team goals.
• Serve as a product evangelist with Marketing, Sales, and the go-to-market organization to help them understand the vision, roadmap and best practices.
• Build strong partnerships with leaders across other organizations that are integral to the success of the ecosystem including other product teams, Engineering, Trailhead, and IT.
• Work with executive leadership team as well as key stakeholders throughout Salesforce to influence and align resources and prioritization.
• Interface regularly with customers and partners at events and through ad-hoc sessions to develop your product strategy and ensure success.
• Requirements
You are/have:
• At least 5 years of product management experience.
• Experience building and mentoring exceptional product teams.
• Leadership DNA, proven ability to excite and lead by influence for teams outside of your ownership to accomplish amazing things together.
• A general manager mindset and run your product like a business. You know a product can only be successful with the right alignment and support from the other organizations that are critical to success (operations, marketing, support, enablement, etc.).
• An innate ability to manage many things at once. You don't just keep things afloat, you drive several high-priority initiatives simultaneously and knock them all out of the park.
• Exceptional communication and presentation skills. Significant experience in presenting to internal and external executives.
• Strong customer empathy and experience shaping product direction and execution based on customer needs.
• Ability to manage competing and evolving priorities. There will always be more than you can do in a day so you need to continually make sure you have the right priorities and focus.
• Experience working with Salesforce is a plus.
• E-commerce experience is a strong plus.
• Operations or channel experience is a very strong plus.
