Hundreds of internal teams add to the experience every release as the products and capabilities of Salesforce grow. You'll be presenting to top executives in the company so strong communication and influencing skills are key to success in the role.
Responsibilities:
• Manage the strategic vision, direction, and execution for the next gen Setup Platform, taking into consideration the various persona's and stakeholders (Admins, internal teams, Salesforce executives, partners, consultants who help customers implement Salesforce)
• Present the vision and with executives at the top level of the company to articulate the value, the proposed priorities and tradeoffs
• Become the #1 admin expert - What do customers want to do most? What are the biggest challenges to adoption? What are hypothesis to test to drive big value?
• Execute on the vision with the scrum team as well as other teams across all major clouds of the company.
As an ideal candidate, you have:
• Leadership DNA - proven ability to set a vision, excite and lead a cross-functional engineering team.
• Strong user experience/design sense, with a record of building simple and intuitive products.
• Ability to work both strategically to build & communicate vision, and tactically to cover complex details of feature delivery with scrum teams
• Willing to pitch in during a crunch - Data scientist busy? You grab the list for the analysis. Developers overworked on a tight timeline? You pitch in on drafting the test plan and doing some manual testing.
• Experience with agile or lean software development process. If you're more familiar with waterfall, this role probably isn't a fit.
Reasons to Join:
• Impact - your work will be used by millions of users, hundreds of teams, and will define the experience for the next decade.
• People - you will work with great people in engineering, user experience, research, data science, and more. Learn from the best!
• Learning - you will need to learn a ton about how the 2,500 pages in Setup are used, different persona's and interests, and a wide variety of technology. This will serve you well in any role after this one!
