DESCRIPTION
Day 1 Creative is the internal creative agency setting design and brand direction for Amazon’s global online retail websites. Our mission is to create beautiful visual designs, communications, on-site graphics, photography, videos, and user experiences. We are responsible for branding and the creative development of a wide range of services, features and categories (Amazon Prime, Amazon Music, Echo, Echo Show, FireTV, Movies, Video Games, and more) for Amazon websites media around the world. We apply strategic insight to delight customers—driving discovery, engagement, and trust. We’re growing quickly and hiring the best. This is day one.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
Qualified candidates should have between 5-10 years of professional advertising/film experience including:
• An online portfolio that demonstrates strong visual design skills and experience creating video content
• Able to develop compelling creative concepts based on strategic marketing input and present ideas to senior management
• Excellent communications, presentation and interpersonal skills
• Excellent attention to detail with a strong sense of visual constructs that feel unique and authentic to the brand
• Ability to handle multiple projects in a fast-paced environment
• Expert level experience in Adobe Design Suite
• Experience telling visual stories that show your passion for film making
• You have strong organizational skills, web expertise, intrinsic design ability, typographic skills, and acute attention to detail.
You are an experienced art director who has successfully demonstrated taking business goals and turning them into inspiring world-class ideas. You understand the complexity of advertising and know how to set the visual standard for different categories. You want to work on re-inventing Amazon product and service launch videos. You're driven to tell brand stories that connect with customers across a variety of industries.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
• 5+ years of experience in the design field as an AD, CD, or ACD/Sr. Designer
• Strong communication skills, and team-oriented mindset where the candidate has executed successfully against deadlines in an in-house creative team or agency.
