Business Value Services is a strategic team that is aligned with the Enterprise Sales organization and supports opportunity pursuits within our top accounts and industries. We collaborate in developing the account penetration strategy with Regional Vice Presidents, Global or Strategic Account Managers, and Account Executives within Sales. We prepare provocative and visionary business proposals for Chief Executive Officers, General Managers, and Chief Information Officers of the Fortune Global 500. We develop business cases that define value realization for Boards of Directors and Chief Financial Officers to review and approve in response to capital appropriation requests for transformational investments in our cloud solutions.
Business Value Services is seeking creative, collaborative, analytical and entrepreneurial Director / Senior Director to join our team.
Responsibilities
• Work closely with both existing and prospective customers to identify, prioritize and quantify key business drivers and understand how our solutions will help address their strategic needs
• Develop and deliver compelling business case presentations that accelerate and/or expand opportunities
• Share insights with Sales leadership to help manage deals and prepare for negotiations
• Customize and maintain sound financial models that justify strategic investment decisions
• Prepare thought-provoking executive proposals to engage customers in long-term business relationships
• Facilitate cross-functional discovery sessions to identify and prioritize key business value drivers
• Author thought leadership on cloud benefits, industry solutions, and "all things value"
• Act as a business value subject matter expert in account planning sessions and quarterly business reviews
• Travel, both to customer sites and other Salesforce offices, will be part of this role
Skills and Experience
• Results-oriented, strategic thinker that helps customers "cross the chasm" from current state to future state
• Strong facilitation and presentation skills.
• Executive presence while collaborating with and successfully influencing the C-suite to invest are a must
• Deep financial analysis and modeling skills to justify business cases through ROI and TCO analysis
• Passion to investigate business processes and evaluate the possibility of new business models
• Must be a self-starter, creative, high energy, and comfortable running an initiative in a start-up paced software company
• Ability to work with cross-functional teams from Sales, Marketing, Solution Engineering, Partners and other key stakeholders
• 10+ years of professional experience, ideally in value consulting, management consulting or analytical role in a complex selling environment
• Experience in enterprise software industry is preferred
• MBA from a top-tier school preferred
