As Chief of Staff, Senior Director of Program Management and Business Operations, VICE for Veritas IT, you will report directly to the VP of VICE in Mountain View. Veritas IT VICE organization delivers Infrastructure, Collaboration tool set, and Lab services to Veritas. You will be responsible for strategic planning, business planning, management processes, business communication, project delivery and other key deliverables that support and help run the operations of the team effectively. The successful candidate will have the ability to think at a global level across the Vice organization, develop strategy and define enabling capabilities, effectively develop key processes and procedures that facilitate management of the business. Building successful relationships with key stakeholders internally and externally, to help drive results. This is a very visible role within Veritas IT with responsibility and influence touching many parts of our company.
Responsibilities:
• Develop and lead team dispersed program managers who are responsible for all aspects of VICE project/program delivery supporting Veritas IT Plan of record.
• Manage Business Operations for a global IT engineering team including communications cadence, resource allocation, hiring process, site space planning, business intelligence, outside services and vendor management.
• Plan and manage annual department budget including annual, quarterly and monthly operational and capitalized expense forecasting.
• Drive functional and process excellence across VICE including the implementation of project delivery methodologies
• Implement Business Intelligence processes and methodologies including the development of KPI dashboards and project tracking systems
• Develop and lead strategic planning process for the organization including internal and external QBR process
• Develop a Global PMO to Level 3 PMO maturity within 18 months ensuring institutionalized processes & methodology used across all projects and programs undertaken.
• Implement and maintain resource management system to effectively manage resource utilization
• Own and facilitate the development of the organization strategy:
• Strategic Vision, goals, and planning processes to align across multiple VICE organizations
• Own and facilitate annual operation plan for organization including goals and metrics
• Perform and own benchmark analysis to support organization maturity and performance
• Drive strategic organizational initiatives as they come up.
• Develop and manage the rhythm of the business to ensure the organization is running effectively and efficiently to meet objectives, including:
• Financials Management
• Human Resources
• Communications
• Meeting Management
• Business Measurements & Scorecard
• Engage and be the cross-team liaison with Finance, HR and Recruiting, Legal, etc.
• Carries out supervisory responsibilities for all VICE project and program management
• Develop relationships, communications, and process that spans across all IT and strategic BU to break down the siloed approach
• Other duties may be assigned.
Position Requirements
Qualifications, Education, Experience & Training Required:
• BS or BA in Computer Science or Business required, MBA preferred.
• 15+ years of experience managing, leading, and influencing senior leadership teams, including:
• 5+ years of work experience in business operations or program management, ideally in a fast-paced, rapidly growing and changing organization.
• 5+ years of experience working within the technology and software industry
• Strong critical thinking and problem solving skills.
• Collaborative attitude and works toward customer and business goals rather than personal goals.
• Strong communication skills and ability to flex communication style.
• Strong strategic/financial analysis skills.
• Proven ability to influence stakeholders and drive change when necessary.
• Previous experience managing multiple resources and projects.
