About this position:
The Director, Product Management,- Glip (Collaboration -- Web and Desktop Apps)position is a high-visibility role responsible for launching an exciting roadmap of new features for our flagship RingCentral and Glip desktop and Web apps. As a Senior Product Manager at RingCentral, you are the ultimate owner of the customer experience for your products and services, as well as the person responsible for driving future development and customer adoption.
This role will work across all teams in the company to ensure that we have a competitive product strategy and a plan to deliver the next wave of best-in-class productivity software for the enterprise. Each day, you will work side-by-side with a dedicated engineering team, designers, user researchers, data scientists, marketers and sales reps to build and deliver products that people and companies love.
You will be charged with delivering and driving adoption on world-class communication and collaboration applications. As such, we want a PM that understands that software is the future of communication and want to be at the forefront of this development.
You love making products that delight customers. You understand that great products balance simplicity and robust features to solve real world problems. Saying “no” is as important as adding new features. You also enjoy tapping the left side of the brain and quantifying your decisions by analyzing data and setting up proper measurement and reporting for each feature launched.
Responsibilities:
• Understand and prioritize customer needs based on engagement with customers and internal sales and support teams
• Define user-facing features from concept to detailed requirements
• Communicate both strategic vision and tactical plans to key stakeholders for assigned product areas
• Collaborate with engineering and design teams to deliver to features that drive app engagement and user satisfaction
• Work with a cross-functional team on go-to-market approach and communication on new releases
• Track and measure the success of each product/feature launched
Required Experience & Skills:
• Wicked smart and have a strong bias for action and results
• 7+ years of product management experience, preferably in SaaS or consumer software (Web, desktop or mobile)
• 3+ years of PM Management experience
• Experience partnering with engineering and design teams to define, build, and maintain products critical to growth, engagement, and retention
• User-focused thinker with ability to translate user feedback and usage data into requirements
• Excellent written and oral communication skills
• Capable of taking complex issues and making them simple for customers and internal partners to understand
• Track record of managing the product life cycle
• Technical background or relevant experience
• Ability to thrive in an entrepreneurial environment
• Bachelor’s degree in a business or technical discipline
